There is NO PLACE like Nebraska.
Soybeans make great Bacon! Thanks to @RepDonBacon for taking time to chat with us today on soy issues. We appreciate all of your support for agriculture and our great state of Nebraska @ASA_Soybeans#agleader
Met with the Nebraska Soybean Association to discuss the upcoming Farm Bill, renewable fuels, surging farm input costs, aquaculture, transportation, and infrastructure. I believe in the future of agriculture and thank the farmers and ranchers who keep our country moving forward.
If we had to get back to "normal" #corn/#fertilizer ratio values with corn price doing all the work, that would result in:
Urea @ $700 NOLA = $12.72 corn price
UAN @ $500 NOLA = $14.29 corn price
DAP @ $685 NOLA = $8.06 corn price
Potash @ $680 NOLA = $11.33 corn price
We're planting winter rye into standing corn to test out the interseed planter we built for the Conservation Innovation Grant/NRCS project. We plan to demonstrate how to use cover crops in our row crops to increase soil biological activity, water infiltration and reduce erosion.
Don’t be surprised if your corn starts looking a bit silver colored after last night. Silver leaf syndrome is caused by rapid heat loss from the leaf on horizontal surfaces

My best advice after looking at the next 7 day forecast- especially night time lows: Keep the planters parked for awhile yet. After all it’s only April 12th! And no you won’t change my mind no matter how many times or how nicely you ask. #plant21 will begin soon! @DKCAG_NENEB
If America was a farm... Imagine replacing your S780 combine and 1,600 bu cart with a gleaner and using a balzer honey wagon as your grain cart. That’s what happened yesterday
