There is an archetype I see so often in corporate and finance crowds.
45-65 years old…
Have an MBA, “elite” undergrad, and/or come from a wealthy/influential family background (often coastal US mega markets)…
Still grinding out corporate executive roles… posting on LinkedIn… trying to be a “thought leader”… attending industry events…
I suppose this is a source of some self-actualization or happiness for them…
…but it’s so sad (objectively) given the fact that life is so short and the fact that “nobody is thinking about you”
You’d think they’d have learned this by this age range…
Sad to see really
