The photographs have moderate-to-good comparability for broad visual assessment.

There are measurable differences in illumination and some framing mismatch, so subtle changes should not be overinterpreted but it’s clear something is happening.

The images overlap sufficiently that larger and spatially consistent changes in scalp coverage may still represent a genuine biological change, particularly when those changes cannot be readily explained by the direction of the lighting difference.

This subject likely took their picture at home so we can’t expect a professional trichology or dermatology setting. But long term tracking data will give us better conclusions.
