@elonmusk Shock, people vote in a manner that benefits themselves over others, talk about stating the obvious! This is true of most voters, no matter which way they vote.
@IrishTimesPol Absolutely they should contribute, indeed they should contribute most, let’s not forget that the Catholic Church is an extremely Rich organization.
@JayMasterGen@piersmorgan Fair enough, but again the use of inappropriate language, as stated in my last reply I never suggested you “blindly” take any action and I am not “bullying” you by suggesting it’s not all about you. Good luck to you and those close to you, you may we’ll need it.
@JayMasterGen@piersmorgan I didn’t suggest you “blindly” follow, I suggested you examine the evidence before making a decision. Remember the risk you may be imposing on others. Of course it’s your right to refuse & I support that, but as with all rights they must be applied with caution & care for others.
@JayMasterGen@piersmorgan There cannot be evidence over 5+ Yrs til 2026. There is evidence for the effectiveness of the vaccines, albeit short term, none to support the anti-vaccine lobby. We need to trust the scientists who are always questioning their findings, that’s The Scientific Method.
@piersmorgan Why not invite these deniers to visit the ICU’s struggling to save people’s lives with no PPE, and let’s see if they are brave enough and/or believe enough in their misguided “truth” to take the ultimate risk?
@1964_skb@piersmorgan Is this true? I certainly know of no evidence that suggests any vaccine, past or present, that causes the illness it is supposed to suppress, if you have any please show it, if not then why spread unsubstantiated claims simply cause they support your already formed opinion?
@GNW1981@piersmorgan All vaccines are promising less than 100% effectiveness, so there will always be some who get the disease even after vaccination and some of those poor people will die. This is not a reason to refuse the vaccines, as 60-95% effectiveness is better than none, don’t you think?
@JayMasterGen@piersmorgan Why not read the scientific evidence before making such a decision. I am all for personal choice, but surely one can only make that choice when fully informed? Sound bite evidence is useless.
@Villascott88@piersmorgan In fairness, while I wouldn’t have a lot of time for Piers personally, all he did in this clip was talk over Hancock when he flatly refused to answer the question he had been asked.
@IrishMirror@MikeMol1982 Mike, my previous numbers, which showed Ireland experiencing far less deaths per capita than the UK, have changed due to a relaxing of restrictions over Xmas and are now the same as the UK. Stay safe and here’s hoping both of our Governments will impose the restrictions needed.
@leedsgreg@piersmorgan Ireland has approximately 10% of the UK’s population and 1% of its Covid Deaths. We are an island off the coast of Europe and live in practically the same population density.
@piersmorgan A person can be intelligent but people all too often plain stupid. As a race we tend to form beliefs and then search for proof we are right. As I read recently “think of how stupid the average human can be and then realise that 50% of the population are “stupider” than them”
@RayLawler9@DrZeroCraic It is your, and everyone’s, right not to take it, but if you are going to trust anyone the scientists are the ones to trust. The scientific method is to never be sure, always question and continue to do so forever more, never blindly believe anything, including your own findings.
