I am deeply saddened by the passing of the National Chairman of the All People’s Congress, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray. Sierra Leone has lost a respected statesman and a great politician whose contributions to our nation’s democratic journey will never be forgotten.
On behalf of the Government and people of Sierra Leone, and the Sierra Leone People’s Party, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the APC, and all who mourn his demise. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
Losing over 30 kilos in the last six years has been one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself ♥️ Alhamdulillah for the journey.
My secrets? Gym five times a week, one cup of rice a day, no food after 11pm, drinking 2–3 litres of water daily, and 10,000 steps a day.
Today, the International Moral Guarantors concluded their mission in Sierra Leone — successfully resetting the implementation of the Agreement for National Unity and the Report of the Tripartite Committee. As Chief Negotiator of the APC, I believe the outcomes of our negotiations with the Government mark real progress in Sierra Leone's pursuit of peaceful coexistence, democratic accountability, and transparent, credible 2028 elections.
The road ahead calls on Parliament to pass 26 legislative and 13 Constitutional amendments, and on elections management bodies to action 27 administrative and 14 regulatory recommendations.
It also calls on the APC and Government to keep working in the interest of Sierra Leone's democratic growth. These are the tasks. These are the people's demands. Each requires enduring, thorough, and effective follow-through.
To APC and SLPP supporters: what is at stake is bigger than our parties. Brazen argument serves no purpose. Let us direct our energy toward supporting our teams, tracking progress, and holding implementers accountable. The same appeal goes to civil society.
This week has not been a win or a loss for the APC or the government. It is a gigantic leap in our nation's democratic transformation.
I join the APC leadership in thanking our Negotiating Team, the ICPNC, and all local and international Moral Guarantors for rebooting these reforms through a week of gruelling but essential conversations.

I don’t know if it’s just me but I do not care for these people’s content, I scroll so fast, I don’t want to know what’s going on in your life or how good your life is
And no this isn’t coming from a place of envy or jealousy, I dislike people who tone deaf
They constantly bombard you with lifestyle contents, feed off from your admiration and obsession of them but will never ever utter a word of support
You could literally be burning in this country and they wouldn’t care, just bombard you more with a lifestyle you can never ever relate to🙂
Two of my children officially got married at the National Mosque, Abuja, this afternoon. It gave me immense pleasure.
By the hands of my close associates and friend, General Aliyu Gusau, my daughter Hafsat was given in marriage to her spouse, Umar Farouk Imam.
My son Abubakar Atiku Jnr took his bride, Asma'u Abdul'aziz Nyako, through my friend Alhaji Kwairanga Jada.
I have no doubt that these marriages will further strengthen the longstanding family ties established with my older brother, Admiral Murtala Nyako, and my friend, Kashim Ibrahim Imam.
I am thankful to all guests who graced the occasion and supported to make this day a reality.
I congratulate my children and their spouses and wish them a happy marriage. -AA
