He had 12 years of experience as an electrician.
Then life unraveled fast.
Zack told Key West officers that after moving to Florida, he lost his car, his tools, his belongings and eventually his place to stay.
After missing curfew at a shelter, he said he was exhausted and found what he believed was a construction property where he could rest for the night.
Surveillance later showed him sleeping on outdoor furniture beneath the home until workers arrived the next morning.
Police located him riding a bicycle nearby.
He ultimately faced a trespassing charge.
Sometimes the most unforgettable police encounters aren’t about what happened.
They’re about the story that led someone there.
🚨Get a load of these police officers snotty attitudes when dealing with a man taking photographs.
Jan 2014, public sidewalk just outside MacDill AFB main gate (Dale Mabry), Tampa, FL.
Jeff Gray (Army vet / PINAC / Honor Your Oath) filming from public property after reports of photographers being harassed near the base.
Tampa PD officers approached, told him he couldn’t film the base, demanded ID, and cut him off when he mentioned their oath to the Constitution:
“don’t even start that… we are investigating an incident you’re suspicious.”
He gave name + DOB , asked the female Officer Right Here for the RAS but was met with silence.
He was released without citation or arrest.
❓Why would an officer hush you and tell you to stop the second you mention their oath to the Constitution?
❓What’s the difference between “checking you out” and an illegal detention?
❓Why do police officers think “because we were called” is enough to detain someone taking photos on a public sidewalk?
You always see screenshots from this video with captions like, ‘Racist White Man Pours Acid On Black Swimmers!’
WHAT THEY CONVENIENTLY LEAVE OUT.
- This was a private pool at a private hotel
- The ‘black swimmers’ are actually civil rights activists from a protest
- They hopped the fence
- They were trespassing and disturbing paying guests
Manager James Brock responded by pouring muriatic acid into the swimming pool water, a completely harmless act.
It wasn’t ‘aCiD!’ in the scary sense.
It’s a pool chemical to adjust PH, which the pool probably required at that point because of all of the sweaty, disgusting, trespassers.
The trespassers received zero injuries.
All 37 activists were arrested.
The hotel manager was never charged.
The more you know 💫
@smbg46@ElofsonJess That's the same backward thinking thats got us in this mess. Sometimes you have to burn it all down to build it back better. The lesser of two evils is still evil.

Charlotte is lost.
In January 2026, Q'Laundra Hood ran a red light at an excessive speed on The Plaza in Charlotte, struck the young runner Lance Sotelo, and fled the scene. She did it all without even holding a valid driver's license at 28 years old.
Yesterday, Mecklenburg County Superior Court Judge Reggie E. McKnight handed down a sentence that is a slap in the face to public accountability: only 30 DAYS of active jail time. Then 36 months of probation.
How did a fatal hit-and-run result in only a month behind bars? Because prosecutors, led by Spencer Merriweather, dropped the initial felony involuntary manslaughter charge in a plea deal, allowing Hood to plead down to a mere misdemeanor death by vehicle.
30 days in jail for taking a human life and fleeing.
🚨#BREAKING: It has been revealed that THE JUDGE who gave a Black woman only 30 DAYS in prison for running a RED LIGHT, hitting a 25yr old White man, and DRIVING AWAY while he DIED ON THE STREET...
...is a BLACK MALE DEMOCRAT, Reggie McKnight, who was appointed by ROY COOPER and served on the "Special Committee on Diversity" for Charlotte NC Bar.
The 25 year old's name was Lance Sotelo.
Lance grew up in Dalton, Georgia, and was a cross-country MVP in high school.
He came to Queens University of Charlotte NC and ran cross country and track and field for SIX YEARS.
On January 14th, Lance was doing the thing he loved most, he was out for a run in Charlotte NC
At 5:47 in the evening, police say 28-year-old Q'Laundra Hood was ran a red light and she hit him, hard.
...and then she drove away.
She left him in the road and kept going.
Lance Sotelo died right there on the streets of Charlotte.
He never even made it to a hospital.
He didn't have life insurance, his family had to start a GoFundMe just to bury their son.
Hood turned herself in and pleaded guilty to felony hit-and-run and involuntary manslaughter.
And on Tuesday, a courtroom packed with Lance's family and friends watched the judge hand down the sentence.
30 days in jail and probation.
Thirty days and $765 restitution... which didn't even cover the funeral costs, by the way.
The family had to start a GO FUND ME just to pay for his funeral.
WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!
JUDGE GIVES 30 DAYS IN JAIL FOR FATAL HIT-AND-RUN THAT KILLED RUNNER.
Mecklenburg County Superior Court Judge Reggie E. McKnight sentenced 29-year-old Q'Laundra Hood to 16–29 months suspended with only 30 days active jail time after fatally striking runner Lance Sotelo and fleeing the scene in Charlotte.
Despite the crash ending a 25-year-old man's life, the court waived all fines and costs, ordering just $765 in restitution.
Q'Laundra Hood had to pay $765 for killing a man and fleeing the scene.
