This guy built over 1,000 homes for squirrels and fitted some of them with cameras so he could see how they live
Welcome to the cutest reality TV show out there

@mmullins99@stopvaccinating The symptoms are the same and I never received any sort of testing to distinguish the cause. So if pseudo medicine is at play I think it is clearly from the medical profession. I also received a morphine based cough medicine to deal with it at the time ......mmm
Settled science is what a committee agreed on this decade. Traditional wisdom is what your ancestors worked out by feeding it to their own children and watching which ones thrived, then telling their daughters, who told theirs, for a few million years.
Before farming: the fat is the prize. The organs and the fat go to the people who matter, the lean goes to the dogs. A family eating the way we are now told to eat went weak inside a fortnight, on a full stomach. The Arctic had a name for it. Rabbit starvation.
Before the tin: a baby whose mother could not feed it got goat's milk, because women had noticed for centuries it sat better in a small stomach. Brussels accepted goat milk protein for infant formula in 2012, after a thorough review. The tin beside it is built out of vegetable oil.
1550 BC, Egypt: roasted ox liver for a man going blind at dusk, mouldy bread pressed into an open wound. Somebody's grandmother had watched both work on people she loved. Science caught her up in 1913 and 1928 and named them vitamin A and penicillin.
400 BC, Greece: a midwife gives a labouring woman willow bark, because the last hundred women it was given to hurt less. Bayer isolates the compound twenty-three centuries later and sells it back to her descendants in a tablet.
1st century, Rome: Pliny writes down that honey goes on a burn. Every kitchen in the empire knew already. Modern surgery called it peasant nonsense for a hundred years, then invented medical-grade honey.
1928, New York: Vilhjalmur Stefansson eats meat and nothing else for a year at Bellevue under medical supervision. No fruit, no vegetables, no scurvy, exactly as the Inuit told him.
1942, Britain: every child under five gets free cod liver oil, because working people knew it kept the bones straight. Discontinued in 1971 as old-fashioned. Rickets is back on British wards.
1980, America: the first federal dietary guidelines tell the country to cut the fat. The fat they moved everybody onto instead was ruled unsafe at any level in 2015.
Now: bones boiled all day for stock, milk left to sour into something better than milk. Sneered at for a century as what the poor ate. Sold back to you in a carton with a wellness label for four pounds.
The laboratory has never once discovered a food. It turns up in a kitchen four thousand years late, isolates the compound the cook was already using, and accepts the award.
A committee that gets it wrong issues a correction and moves to the next post.
A mother who got it wrong buried a child.
That is the harshest peer review ever conducted, it ran for two million years, and nobody on it had anything to sell.
So who would you rather trust with tonight's table: the women who paid for every mistake themselves, or a politician in a lab coat five years out from his next revision.
If you had trusted the settled science of the day, here is how it would have gone.
1890s: you dose the baby with Bayer's new cough syrup, the non-addictive alternative to morphine, marketed for children. It was heroin. They named it after the German for heroic.
1900s: you rub calomel teething powder on your infant's gums. It is a mercury compound, and it leaves a generation with pink disease. Swollen, peeling hands and feet, screaming for months, and some of them died.
1910s: you cook in Crisco, launched by a soap and candle company, because cottonseed oil is modern and lard is what your mother used. The process that made it solid produced trans fat, banned outright a century later.
1920s: you drink Radithor, certified radioactive water, on prescription. Eben Byers took fourteen hundred bottles for his vitality. His jaw was removed in pieces and he was buried in a lead coffin.
1930s: a chemist dissolves a new sulfa drug in diethylene glycol, which is antifreeze. It kills 107 people, mostly children, and only then does America give the FDA power to demand safety testing.
1940s: your doctor lights a Camel in the surgery. More doctors smoke them than any other brand, and the advert runs in the Journal of the American Medical Association, which sold him the page.
1950s: DDT is sprayed over your kitchen, your garden and your children at school. The man who found its insecticidal properties has already been given a Nobel Prize.
1960s: your wife takes thalidomide for morning sickness because it is remarkably safe. More than ten thousand children are born with missing and shortened limbs.
1970s: the country puts down the butter and picks up the margarine, on the instruction of the American Heart Association. The fat everybody switched to was banned in 2015 as unsafe at any level.
1980s: the fat comes out of everything and sugar goes back in to make it edible. Obesity begins a climb it has never come off.
1990s: your father is prescribed OxyContin, because fewer than one per cent get addicted. The company later pleads guilty to criminal misbranding, and the overdose count runs into hundreds of thousands.
2000s: you take Vioxx for your knee. It is pulled in 2004, and the FDA's own safety officer estimates tens of thousands of excess heart attacks.
Not one of those was fringe. Every one had a professional body, a literature and a man in a white coat standing behind it.
Nobody who followed that advice was stupid. They were obedient, to the most qualified people available.
Settled is a word about money. It means the questions stopped being funded, so they stopped being asked.
So which of today's instructions will your grandchildren read out in disbelief.
The oil washed in hexane and built into every cell you own. The statin that blocks the pathway making your hormones, to prevent one heart attack per hundred people. The injection where a third of the loss is muscle. The infant formula built out of vegetable oil.
All settled. None of it funded to be otherwise.
Imagine describing beef to someone from the future.
"So explain this to me. You had an animal that ate the inedible plants, on the land you couldn't farm, with rainwater, and produced the most nutritionally complete food available to humans."
"Yes."
"And it required no electricity, no factory, no petroleum, no synthetic inputs."
"Correct."
"And it built topsoil while it ate, sequestered carbon through the root systems it grazed, and supported dozens of dependent species in the surrounding ecosystem."
"That's right."
"And you tried to replace it with a factory that uses fossil fuel-derived solvents to extract protein from seeds grown on chemically depleted monoculture farmland."
"The packaging said..."
"The packaging."
"It had a leaf on it."
"..."
"And a reassuring green colour."
"Right."
"And you went with that."
"The documentary was very compelling."
"Was it."
"David Attenborough narrated it."
"Right. Yes. That explains everything."
@Matt_Pinner Zero. During the pandemic, my husband had to test daily for his work, so we weren't asymptomatic. Our two children who were mandated to get the shot have had covid multiple times.
@goddek It's a basic test of integrity and ethics. If you think it's ok to abuse women and children or have close associations knowingly with those that do, then every lesser act of dishonesty, exploitation, and deception will be within your moral compass, too.
@Heminator The Rolling Stone is the champion of gossip pretending to be journalism. Remember the covid article claiming that gunshot victims were being kept waiting while they treated people who had overdosed on invermectin. Even the hospitals denial didn't stop RS publishing.
@nzdsos@pulsenewstalk We absolutely need to know where certain false statements originated from. Statements such as the vaccine stays in your arm and can prevent transmission were never backed by evidence from the clinical trials and yet were repeatedly used by government officials and media. Why?
@goddek He's an intelligent politician who knows that American debt levels need to be contained. There are multiple problems with passing these huge bills that impact so many areas of policy and legislation. Many of the components of this bill need to be considered individually.
@c_plushie Thanks for all you do. Accounts like yours raise awareness of the issues, so eventually, people like Prasad have to examine them, though they don't like to admit it!
@TrevorH53038397@NZFreeSpeech Well, we have proved beyond resonance doubt that the vaccines weren't particularly effective and certainly weren't safe. So I await the medical councils decision to punish all the leading government health experts that spouted that "misinformation ".
@noodson@AlexBerenson In many people, the body continues to manufacture spike protein for a prolonged period. I have a family member who has a vaccine injury due to this. You need a doctor that acknowledges and treats vax injury. Family member on augmented NAC and other meds to remove spike. Good luck
@TheRedbaiter@TheZeitgeistNZ@Panopticonomy Was it passed on to organisations that did our mathematical covid modeling ? You know the ones that predicted 80,000 deaths and helped form the government lockdowns and mandates. I wouldn't be surprised. We need answers.
