This is where we are at right now . . . and this is not what my relatives fought and died for in the last century . . . nor what our youth should tolerate now . What has this nation honestly become ? I feel utterly ashamed watching this @streetskitchen@BigIssue
"A swimmer was left fighting for his life with sepsis just 48 hours after taking a dip in the polluted River Kennet.
Any MP or water industry spokesman who has tried to downplay the potential health implications of the sewage crisis should be ashamed.

There's half a mile between the Sidlesham outfall in Pagham and the @RSPBEngland Nature Reserve, described as "an internationally important wetland site for wildlife".

Israeli security forces have recovered the body of a 17 year old severely disabled girl, massacred by Hamas on Oct 7th.
Ruth Peretz was unable to flee due to being wheel chair bound and paralyzed with muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy.
Her wheelchair was found abandoned close to the Gaza border days after the attack.
Her body, while discovered on October 16th, was only fully recovered today.
The body of her loving father, Eric, was also found at the same time.

This Govt is now violating international law over poverty levels in the UK. Tories have presided over 13 years of austerity cuts, slashed benefits, record food bank users, mass homelessness & cold damp homes. This is a Govt led by the rich, for the rich.

It is incredible that after nearly running @thameswater into the ground, the UK government cleared @Macquarie to do the same to @SouthernWater.
And a month after they did so, a Macquarie director donated £10,000 to then Deputy PM Dominic Raab.
The whole thing stinks.
The sixties. Before the Internet. Before pubs started to dwindle away. Before greed. Before we forgot how to respect one another. Before mobile telephones. Before the end of community spirit. Before the poverty...
Can you see what we've lost?

@CarolineLucas@cebill_now All cotton bull because if the Govt really thought this we would at least have a proper water system, - not polluting our streams, rivers and oceans with our sewage for the benefit of investors. We wouldn’t have to pay so much for green electricity etc. etc. etc.
