worked a 17 hour shift last night with one 20 minute break. slept for 4 hours. now I’m back to work another 12.5 hours tonight. happy nurses week :)

First solo peds RN shift I started with 4 patients and got 2 PICU transfers that normally wouldn’t have because they needed the rooms. It’s scary to think that when my license is at stake I may not be protected from a systematic error when safe staff ratios aren’t mandated
