Six months ago, Jeb from Mojang tried Hytale and said "I'd like it to be more different to Minecraft." He was right, and I said it then too. The features that make us unique weren't in the game yet.
Hytale and Minecraft will always be compared, but we're not trying to make the same kind of game. Yesterday's blog shows what that means for the future. Handcrafted dungeons with multi-phase boss fights, combat abilities, runeforging, world events, companions involved in the crafting loop, and much more.
We want to be a deeper RPG, a stronger adventure identity, and a game that will evolve massively over the next few years. We just happen to be a block game, and we are just getting started.
@Simon_Hypixel I apologies, I accidentally made a Graphing Calculator in #Hytale
This was made 100% in survival using existing functions that Hexcode provides. The equation that's being graphed is interchangable too!
What should I do next?
#Hytale#HytaleModding
@CraftyMasterman I see your argument, but a chair is a vague concept, and so is a redstone door. if someone comes up with a unique and creative piston layout, Id expect someone else using it to give *some* credit to the creator, even if the wiring isn't the same. It should be the same for a chair
@CraftyMasterman I like Mojang, and I also don't believe that kweebec corner is trying to start a witch hunt. but you are also literally the guy that calls out mojang's instances of plagiarism when it comes to redstone builds. Genuinely, what is the difference now?
@CraftyMasterman You are literally the "stolen redstone builds in the Minecraft handbooks" guy so clearly you understand the harm in the lack of proper attribution. Suddenly it's a mod and that doesn't apply?
@CraftyMasterman This is asinine. Mojang directly ripped the functionality and direct design from a mod, it's not like they made a generic chair. Whenever they've done that in the past, they have either hired the person they took the idea from, or at least given them credit or compensation.
I've been working on an in-world magic system! A few months ago I got it to be turing complete - and now I've just been having fun. I could try to explain it, but I think it'd be best if I just show you
These spells are all spells that were made by the Hexcode Community using this system
- 3x3 Break [Nezzy484]
- Cage [Sllayer]
- Change Size [Nezzy484]
- Fireworks [SupuerSativa]
- Flashy Spell [LoneFox]
- Divine Barrier [Lexem]
- House [Lexem]
And SO much more that I didnt have time to get to
With 81 glyphs (and counting) the sky really is the limit here...
