@GazeHoundAstrid Another alternative is to get a bunch of glow stick bracelets, hold them together in your hands, and yell “boom” as you throw them in the air.

Surprisingly good fun! Repeatable! Easy to find them later that night when you (or the kids) are done.

@anne_theriault We moved to Canada end of 2019. I have been SO. LONELY. My husband made a few friends at uni, the other 2 or 3 classmates who also mask. I found some sense of connection online in Reddit, of all places: Dad for a minute and Mom for a minute are solidly wholesome. 💕

@ThatSexToyGuy @AndyRichter Added muppet song 😉

@maimonides_nutz I fell down that rabbit hole recently. Niki Minaj’s “Anaconda” builds heavily on samples from the original Sir Mix A Lot song. Jonathan Coulton covered it in a lounge style, and Glee stole his actual recorded music for their show.

If you’re having a hard time imagining the lengths the New Zealand government has gone to in order to minimise the death of its people, imagine how hard it is for us, going about our everyday lives, to imagine why yours didn’t.

@MavenOfMayhem @sghottawa It’s unfortunate that their website buries the “click here to donate” path three or four levels down. I had almost given up when I finally found it. @sghottawa , please consider making a one-time donation easier to access. Thanks.

@Tekgo happy birthday!

BLUE SEA DRAGONS THAT EAT JELLYFISH! 😱 These beautiful sea slugs (Glaucus) live at the ocean’s surface and prey on jellies like the Portuguese man o’ war! They can also repurpose the stinging cells from their jelly snacks, so they might give you a ZAP! 📷: uwkwaj on @inaturalist

I’m finally reading Special Topics in Being a Human by @sbearbergman and my heart is full. The queer tenderness of this guide is just so much.

Shep, if it’s ever reasonable to travel again I would 100% love to learn how to farm using animal power. That sounds both really interesting and like a lot of hard work. I’m not up for mandating that other folks can’t use machines, though. Is that required?
