*Share a memory about food* I'd never consider myself a foodie but I'm a big believer in the power of food to bring people together and get them talking. Here's our first ever @Trough_Supper where 15 almost-strangers put the world to rights over dinner #FFCCathome@FFC_Commission
Trough is taking a break for a few weeks as we’re off cycling with the @Thighs_0f_Steel crew..however are you single & hungry for love?!
.
Cos if so we have the answer..wild swimming, meaningful chat & a summer evening supper.

"Like many things in our individualistic culture, finding ‘love’ has become increasingly self centred." Cherie Chambers unpicks what it means to look for love in the modern dating scene. Clue: it ain't pretty.

Tinder makes 20 million matches every day. But how many of these turn into genuine relationships? Are dating apps a fools errand?
Bag a ticket at our next Trough supper to find out.

#supperclub (Credit: Penguin Ladybird Book of Dating)
Sophisticated cocktail party. One man prowls through the crowd like a fashion panther
It’s Gerard Butler carrying a vintage golf club
He smoulders at a glamorous lady
Hands her the club
Arrives at camera. Raises his martini glass. It’s filled with gravy:
“New Earth”
Ghosting. Bread crumbing. Marleying. Sunday Night Fever. Just some of the words used to describe misdemeanours in modern dating. Where did it all go wrong?
Come and find out at our next Trough supper!

*Tickets for the next Trough are on sale*

That’s a wrap for our third Trough supper. Thanks to everyone who came along to debate the ins and outs of modern masculinity. We went al fresco dining for the first time and we’re not looking back (well, at least until October...) #supperclub#descentofman#graysonperry
Stoic. Physical. Confident. Competitive. All traits we ascribe to men. But are these innate or are they merely expectations created by society?
Got a view? Get yourself a ticket to our next supper club where we’ll be discussing @Alan_Measles’s book

“Men. There are a lot of them about. We all know one. Grayson Perry is one. But what makes a man? Could it be in need of an urgent upgrade?”
Join our next Trough supper club where we’ll be talking about Perry’s witty and timely book, The Descent of Man.
We're organising our third Trough supper in July, this time asking whether masculinity needs a reboot. If you're a fan of good food, good people and good chat, what are you waiting for: sign up! https://t.co/FR6ti2ZmFv #supperclub#thedescentofman
Fava hummus. Babaghanoush with almond dukkah. Smoked mackerel with land cress. All served with a dollop of debate about Myers Briggs. Fancy joining our supper club this Saturday? We have a handful of tickets remaining https://t.co/PCLLW4sOnI
Last few tickets remaining for our next Trough #supperclub where we’ll eat delicious food whilst discuss our preferences for #introversion or #extroversion. Do you get your energy from the outer world of action or an inner world of ideas? https://t.co/PCLLW4sOnI
In two weeks time we'll be hosting our second Trough dinner on introverts and extroverts. Love or loathe Myers-Briggs, it's a chance to meet new people and dig into some fine food. Buy yourself a ticket before they're all snapped up! https://t.co/PCLLW4sOnI
Had an amazing ride with Thighs of Steel yesterday. If you're a cycle nut and want to raise money for a good cause, check out their ride to Athens this summer >>> https://t.co/468M5E8VDv
If people think Myers-Briggs is so limiting in its ability to aid understanding of personality preferences why do so many people use it on their dating profiles? Join us to discuss the ins and outs of all things personality over some lovely grub. https://t.co/yWDf3dJiCQ
If you only see one film in the next few months, make it 120 Beats Per Minute. It's a brilliantly moving story of how the Act Up movement in 1990s Paris fought tooth and nail to raise awareness of Aids. A must see. https://t.co/pXSiny3jAS
Vice digs into Myers-Briggs in the vicest way possible. We'll be talking through the ups and downs of this 'personality test' at our next Trough supper. Come join! https://t.co/ufuK5b2VoT
Random (and a little philosophical) word-fact of the day: ‘person’ is from the Latin ‘persona’ and meant ‘actor’s mask’ or ‘character in a play’ before describing a human being. We kept ‘persona’ for the acting sense, but the idea of a mask is hidden inside every person.
We can’t wait for our next #supperclub @BernsteinsBar Clapton where we’ll be getting to the heart of extroversion, introversion and everything in between...How do you feel your #personality preferences affect your work & relationships? https://t.co/yWDf3dJiCQ
