@WaynesWorldlg75@bradpsychology Coming third in the 2 party preferred vote and 2nd in the primary vote isn’t winning now is it Wayne? Not too bright are we ………. 🤷🏼♂️
@Junkmail_84@bradpsychology Yes it’s a failure because they didn’t win the seat. That’s the actual definition of failure - NOT WINNING. Improving your primary vote is not winning 🤷🏼♂️
@StormShine96@_Tumbawumba@AusPoll6 In fact that’s capitalism in action. We have been in a per capita recession for much of the last few years so of course government employment is likely to grow faster than the private sector. That reflects weakness in the wider economy.
@StormShine96@_Tumbawumba@AusPoll6 And besides that only relates to the relative strength of the health sector compared to weak business investment in other employment sectors. That does not necessarily mean the state is increasing in size as a specific government policy as you are implying.
@StormShine96@_Tumbawumba@AusPoll6 Except most of those jobs are related to the NDIS and so are not public servant jobs at all but in a sector that is funded to a large extent by the government 🤷🏼♂️
@StormShine96@_Tumbawumba@AusPoll6 Socialism is the collective ownership of the means of production, what businesses have Labor nationalised? I’ll wait …….. Labor is barely more socialist than the Liberal Party. Advocating for worker’s rights and appropriate regulation isn’t socialism they are centrist ideals.
@Pro__Thought@liam_whan@AusPoll6 Since 2023 immigration numbers have fallen significantly and are now similar to the rate of immigration before Covid. Also you obviously are totally ignorant of how difficult it is to immigrate to Australia, we don’t give visas to unskilled workers, except farm workers.
@Pro__Thought@liam_whan@AusPoll6 Labor hasn’t massively increased immigration at all. Immigration was unusually high for 2 years due to increased numbers of international students returning after Covid and were a result of the LNP policies post Covid which Labor continued. 1 of 2
@Jason70292476@PatellaPhalange@josie2tarts@strangerous10 No you seem to have no idea. Primary vote is irrelevant. It’s only seats in the lower house that really matter when forming government. One Nation MAY pick up 2 seats in the lower house in SA, making them as influential as the independents.
@JeffersonEarlX@k_mahlburg Says the person with a Bible verse on their profile. You realise around half the population of Australia have no religion right ? We don’t care about your bullshit religious propaganda here 🤷🏼♂️
@Brookstarr48@mr_crazz@Melbourne_says@grok It is the current count from only 7 mins ago. At this stage One Nation hasn’t won any lower house seat. They are ahead in 2 or so seats (out of 47) but we won’t probably know whether they actually win those seats for days.
@elibrooks0@RpsAgainstTrump You don’t seem to realise per your constitution CONGRESS HAS TO APPROVE SPENDING. The president of the USA can not do this, it’s unconstitutional 🤷🏼♂️
@LevyDuwaine@jarbenmate@AusPoll6 No not Google search results, I actually grew up in a regional area and know many farmers and the struggles they face. A poor environment is bad for everyone. You want to bury your head in the sand that’s fine but reality is different. The environment is struggling in many ways
@LevyDuwaine@jarbenmate@AusPoll6 If you remove too many trees that causes pollution from increased runoff to waterways, plus causes salinity to increase in the soil affecting farmland. It also can reduce humidity and rainfall. You do realise we have the highest levels of deforestation in the developed world.
@LevyDuwaine@jarbenmate@AusPoll6 And why do people need dozen of guns? Other than certain occupations, like farmers, there’s no reason for any one to own deadly weapons like guns. 🤷🏼♂️ And yes in the city we value clean air and water because don’t always have it. Seems like you take such things for granted.
@LevyDuwaine@jarbenmate@AusPoll6 What Green policies don’t you like? You don’t want clean air and water and our environment protected? You don’t want better rights for workers or better rights for tenants in rentals? More public housing and better public services? Not sure what policy of the Greens you dislike?
@LevyDuwaine@jarbenmate@AusPoll6 87% of Australians live in cities bigger than 50,000 people and 40% of the population live in just Sydney and Melbourne. City dwellers ARE AUSTRALIA. Rural residents are small (though annoyingly noisy) minority.
