@KenGardner11@hayesy316 The Soviets have a long history of invading their neighbours, but they haven’t always been successful. The Soviet–Afghan war is another example. It’s strange that Trump thinks Russia can’t be beaten when history shows otherwise.
@NJBeisner It’s not that simple. There are three possibilities: the US supports Ukraine, the US stays neutral, or the US supports Russia. Ukraine can win in the first two scenarios, but not the third. Unfortunately, Trump now appears to be shifting the US toward that third position.
@BohuslavskaKate Trump admin believes in law of sizes — as if international relations work like the animal kingdom, where the big can do as they please and the small are meant to submit. When a “small” country refuses to play the victim, it seems to break their brains.
@sashameetsrus Oh Alexandra, you do protest a little too loudly. EU sanctions are all you talk about lately. You’re a little globe‑trotter who’s had her wings clipped, and you can’t stand it.
@greggnunziata The people who hate Ukraine imagine a world where big countries can crush small ones, and the smaller nations are expected to surrender. It’s a worldview closer to the animal kingdom than international relations. When Ukraine refuses to play the victim, it seems to rattle them.
@joni_askola It does feel like the diesel deal is just a smokescreen for what you described — Trump trying to force a result in the war ahead of the mid‑terms.
@KenGardner11 He might have been better off ignoring the Russia–Ukraine war altogether and placing the responsibility squarely on Europe to deal with it.
@NJBeisner Candace and Theo are contrarians — they don’t seem to have a clear identity of their own, so they just take the opposite position to everyone else. Neither of them offers any real ideas or solutions.
@NJBeisner I honestly don’t see what we’re supposed to admire about Ashley St. Clair. She comes across as someone who’s mainly chasing attention. Maybe the better move is to stop feeding that and just stop posting about her.
@SeveredLegs@nfergus@ZelenskyyUa Did you mean that Europe has been Ukraine’s primary source of new aid since 2025, after the near-total halt in U.S. allocations?
@kiraincongress Russia can’t escalate much beyond this, aside from nuclear weapons — and China won't permit that. With its battlefield options exhausted, terrorism is all Russia has left. If Ukraine continues improving its interception rates, Russia will have no more cards to play.
@Jamie_Weinstein Tucker usually chooses debate partners who aren’t strong debaters and who he can easily outmatch. This time he miscalculated and ended up debating someone sharper than he is.
@BohuslavskaKate Galloway is a contrarian — the unofficial third wing of politics. People in this camp are into conspiratorial thinking, rely on little to no evidence, and seem guided more by inner narratives than facts. Contrarianism is becoming a growing challenge in the democratic West.
