The Trump admin is in a typical autocrat's trap. Even when things have gone very wrong, they can never admit error or say that they are not in total control. But if they are all powerful, I never make mistakes, why aren’t things going well? Predecessors and enemies, of course! Foreign, domestic opposition, etc. But this soon wears thin, and the longer you’re in power, the less credible it is that someone else is responsible.
