@ItsJustOvis Depends what you're replacing. Alerts/loyalty, look at Streamerbot or MixItUp. For the chat side I build All-Chat (my project): free open-source overlay merging Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok and Discord into one browser source, no install. https://t.co/B1piMhapxd
Optional premium is 5 EUR a month, well under the 20 to 30 dollar suites. It unlocks stuff I haven't found in other tools: shared chat that merges several channels into one conversation, and choosing which of your YouTube streams the overlay follows.
I multistream to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok and Discord and got sick of running a desktop app beside OBS just to merge chat. So I built All-Chat, a free open-source overlay that's just a browser source. https://t.co/B1piMhapxd
My viewers can also grab the free extension if they want the merged chat in their own Twitch/YouTube/Kick page, with emote autocomplete. It just swaps their native chat, no setup. Totally optional, the overlay doesn't need it.
@PersikKatheryne I'd recommend https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk for the chat, so you don't have to install yet another thing, but otherwise great list πββοΈ
RE: StreamElements
The value of something you use for free becomes apparent very quickly when it's about to be taken away.
Think about all the tools you use that were free to download and use. That software doesn't maintain itself.
Seeing rumors that StreamElements might be shutting down, and if that's the case, I don't know what I'll do.
I refuse to use StreamLabs for stream notification overlays, so... anyone got any alternatives they can recommend?
@NezukoAyato For chat: https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk (free, open source, Browser Source URL, Twitch/YT/Kick/TikTok/Discord merged, custom CSS). For sub goals: Streamerbot can drive a goal counter overlay from sub events, or some standalone widgets on Ko-fi.
@SimplySenah For chat widgets specifically, https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk works well. You can create multiple overlays with different settings, paste each URL into the right OBS scene as a Browser Source. Custom CSS per overlay. Free and open source.
@smoll_nini For chat specifically, https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk is a clean option. Free and open source, Browser Source URL, supports Twitch/YT/Kick/TikTok/Discord merged. Custom CSS if you want to keep your old SE look.
@MintzeyMoon https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk drops straight into OBS as a Browser Source URL (no plugin install needed). Has full custom CSS support like SE did. Free and open source, supports Twitch/YT/Kick/TikTok/Discord merged into one feed.
If you're looking for an alternative to #streamelements
Look no further than https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk
And if you leave a reply I'll help you get your CSS work there too ;)
@FreyaNyamira For the chat overlay piece: https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk is a clean drop-in. Browser Source URL, Twitch/YT/Kick/TikTok/Discord merged, custom CSS support, free and open source. Won't cover widgets/alerts though, that's Streamerbot or MixItUp territory.
@mimopilled Streamerbot is solid for alerts and per-platform chat boxes. For a merged chat box across platforms, https://t.co/TYlTgbgTPk pairs well: single Browser Source URL with Twitch/YT/Kick/TikTok/Discord combined. Free and open source.
