Protests erupted in Ujjain, India, as members of the local Muslim community took to the streets on the night of September 26 to protest the proposed destruction of parts of the 600-year-old Shahi Mosque by Indian authorities for an alleged road widening project. Police fired tear gas at protesters after the protests escalated into stone-pelting.

Muslim religious sites in India have been disproportionately targeted under the pretext of road-widening projects, sparking concerns over minority rights and equal application of the law. Local sources say at least 2,100 mosques, madrasas and shrines have been demolished across India since 2010

काम करो, लड़ाई घर पर लड़ो। वरना यही हाल होगा।
