Mel Gibson lost his home in the wildfires, yet his response was strikingly calm.
“God gives, God takes. We come in with nothing, and we go out with nothing.”
There’s a lesson there.
YOU MUST BREAK THE PATTERN
Soul over body. Believe in your higher self. Pray for strength. Never give up. Remain hopeful no matter what. Self-aware. Turn on Observer Mode. Defeat the urges. Be above your emotions. You’re in control. Control your feeling state. Temptations become laughable. Challenges elevate your soul.
The reason why you repeat the same mistakes is because you’re too scared to change.
Your past self wants to remain where it already is, so there’s no need to start something new and choose the path of courage.
At some point in your life, there will be a moment when you feel very uncomfortable in the places that brought you the most comfort.
Most people are so drowned in their own misery that when this moment knocks on their door, they do everything to ignore it.
If you choose the path of bettering your life to its highest potential, instead of degrading your soul by watching TV with the lights turned off - that means you’re part of the 10% that came here to fulfill their purpose.
This is the turning point for the life that you’ve always wanted. From now on, opportunities will find you themselves, and all you’ll need to do is use less than half of the effort that was required to leave your past life behind.
Because your new life will make you stronger, wiser, and more fulfilled.

That way your brain will automatically force you towards high value tasks that are needed to be done. It is mostly about eliminating dopamine spikes through artificial spikes that junk food, doomscrolling, watching tv or anything of that nature gives you. Then your brain will naturally seek it from things that require real work.
Not exaggerating when I say the future depends on this catching on en masse. Kids, adults. Book clubs, silent reading groups. For the past twenty-five years tech has corroded our attention, intelligence and basic pleasure in living, and books are the key to winning them back.

“The reason why it’s called the Gospel, the Good News, is because of the bad news. The bad news is you’re dead in your sins ... Jesus then steps off of His throne in eternity, comes into humanity, and He pays the penalty of the sin you deserve.”
