@LauraLoomer@pulte As a former government employee, there are always transition periods and overlap. You don't just bounce and high-five on the way out. No, you help your replacement find their footing because you want them to do well.
That's okay. I reject Islam because they deny the historicity of the crucifixion. I reject Islam because they reject the deity of Christ. I reject Islam because is holds that the Sun sets in a muddy pond and that sperms is created between the ribs. I reject Islam because of Muhammad, who married a 6 year old and consummated the marriage when she was 9. Who spread Islam via the sword and whose disciples continue to do the same today.
I accept Christ as my Lord and Savior because that's who He claimed to be. I accept Christ because of His resurrection, a public vindication of His claims. I accept Christ because He commanded us to love our neighbors and pray for our enemies. I accept Christ because he displays the character of God. I accept Christ because he said I am His and He is mine.
I've never seen or heard anyone say he isn't a "good Christian". Namely, because there's no such thing. What I have heard (and said myself) is he's demonic. He preys on the ignorant and hides from the informed.
As an example, when he says things like, "Jesus never talks about abortion. The Bible is silent on abortion", everyone already knows Jesus didn't address every specific sin by name. He never mentioned felony home invasion, chemical warfare, or throwing gays off roofs either. But Jesus gave us clear principles to judge all moral issues (e.g. the sanctity of life, the protection of the innocent, and 'love your neighbor' applied to the most vulnerable).
Talarico deliberately waves the 'not in the Bible' objection (which everybody knows) to imply abortion is some morally gray area with no biblical objection. It's dishonest rhetoric designed to mislead people who don't know better.
So, it's not that Talarico is a bad Christian. It's that he's not a Christian at all.
@tedcruz Strange is too soft of a word. He's demonic. He twists scripture to make God in his own image, he preys on the vulnerable and ignorant while avoiding the informed who will push back against him. He spews poison that needs confronted.
@MikeWingerii He's the poster child of "God is made in my image". This is demonic and posion. I have yet to see anyone push back to his face. He does well at hiding, but spewing this filth needs to be confronted.
