BBC Sport has a live World Cup knockout bracket updating after every match.
Some clever soul has made it so it automatically works out the 495 possible combinations of third-placed teams.
Right now?

A heavyweight VERZUZ bout between T.l. and 50 Cent would be LEGENDARY 🥊
Here’s a setlist of songs we think the two rap titans would perform if they ever hit the VERZUZ stage. Who’s corner are you in? 🆚
The reality is some of these pundits wasn’t and what Weah said in Pulisic’s doc was true quite frankly they didn’t win much either but you know why this generation have expectations it’s because they are performing at the highest level which very few did in previous generations.
I think it’s time we call out some pundits (not including Herc)that be talking like they won Champions Leagues or play a part of winning Top 5 leagues or winning domestic cups in some of these leagues. When some of them played in Europe they didn’t pass them the ball.
What’s wild about the Tim Weah/Pochettino World Cup ticket prices situation is how some try to frame it as a political battle of ‘right’ vs ‘left,’ ignoring the fact that people across the entire spectrum share concerns about rising costs on ticket gauging.
That’s not happening to Weston, Weah, Pulisic, Adams, Tillman or Richards you know why? THEY WERE BETTER. They had fight and grit and yes it’s a place for that in the game to try but you know what plays a great part of playing at that level? Being flat out good enough.
@myshavedlegs@316simsim They know they wasn’t as good all they had was grit & fight there is a place for that. But they wasn’t scoring goals & impacting games in the Champions League or Top 5 leagues this consistently bottom line they weren’t as good and never had the same expectations this team does
Tbh this team needs its diversity to They are the most successful (club wise) collection of players this team has ever seen playing at the highest level we’ve already seen previous generations not this diverse & they never had this kind of expectation they were not at good enough
The USMNT community is so frustrating. We mostly agree we want more access for communities that can’t afford thousands of dollars for an academy or travel team. But wanna out price the same kids to go to a WC game and be inspired to make soccer their number 1 sport. @EricWynalda
“This isn't the Grammys. You don't get to go up there and lecture the public on some political bullsh*t.” 😳
USMNT legend Eric Wynalda sides with Mauricio Pochettino and blasts Tim Weah for speaking up about the ticket prices in 2026 World Cup games.
“Pochettino, he doesn’t give a sh*t. I loved what he did with Timothy Weah,” Wynalda began.
“Again, Timothy Weah, dude, shut up!”
“Nobody's evil, and it's not your place to talk about tickets to a World Cup. It's not. Okay?”
“This isn't the Grammys. You don't get to go up there and lecture the public on some political bullsh*t.”
“Nobody cares! Nobody cares.”
“You put the jersey on, put your hand on your heart, and play the damn soccer game. That's what we care about. And that's what Mauricio Pochettino has locked in on.”
“He is actually in a very similar way to 1994 with what Bora [Milutinović] did.”
Weah recently spoke about ridiculously expensive ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup, which would make many fans miss out on attending.
However, he’s drawn criticism from his own coach Pochettino, who said players should keep focus on the field. And he’s now drawn criticism from former player Wynalda.
