🇺🇸 House Judiciary just referred Jack Smith to the DOJ for perjury.

Last December under oath, Smith told Congress he never got or even looked at the actual content of lawmakers’ text messages, only phone records.

But documents later showed his team secretly reviewed the full texts from 44 members of Congress (mostly Republicans) that were sent to Trump White House officials at the end of his first term.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna just CALLED OUT Senate Majority Leader John Thune for hiding behind the filibuster to avoid forcing Republicans to vote on the SAVE America Act.

Luna says voter ID is a “90/10 issue” and argued the Senate is out of touch with the American people.

🔻 There is explicitly no path to citizenship, no voting rights, and no eligibility for federal means-tested benefits.

The plan targets an estimated 7.5 million unauthorized workers. It projects a net fiscal gain of about $84 billion per year in the early/steady-state years (dropping to roughly $60 billion recurring once one-time incarceration savings fade), driven mainly by bringing previously off-the-books wages into the tax system, higher compliance, and lower government costs.

🔻 The “PLAN”

1. Immediate Deportation of Those with Criminal Convictions

Any unauthorized immigrant with a gross misdemeanor or felony conviction (U.S. or foreign) faces immediate deportation, regardless of how long they have been in the country or how long ago the conviction occurred.
—— Lindell estimates this affects roughly 5% of the unauthorized workforce — about 375,000 people.
—— Projected savings: roughly $23.6 billion in averted incarceration and criminal-justice costs (using an average $42,000 per person per year and ~1.5 years remaining sentence).

2. 120-Day Window to Register for a Worker Visa Card (WVC)

Everyone else who is unauthorized gets exactly 120 calendar days from the law’s effective date to register for a Worker Visa Card.

• What the WVC provides:
— Legal authorization to work in any lawful job.
— Eligibility for a Social Security number (for tax reporting only).

• What it does not provide:
— Any path to citizenship.
Voting rights.
— Federal means-tested benefits (Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, Earned Income Tax Credit, etc.).
— The card is renewable every two years, but only if the holder has no new gross misdemeanor or felony convictions and remains employed or actively seeking work.

• Projected uptake: 80% compliance, or about 5.7 million WVC holders (after subtracting the criminal cohort). The remaining ~1.4 million who do not register become subject to expedited removal.

3. Tough Criminal Penalties on Employers After the Deadline + Deportation of Non-Registrants (Again, this is key)

Once the 120-day window closes: Any employer (specifically officers, managers, directors, and supervisors) caught employing someone without valid work authorization faces:

– 120 days in prison
– Civil fines up to $25,000 per unauthorized worker
– Mandatory E-Verify for all future hiring (that should already be required)
– Three-year ban from federal contracts on a second offense
Non-registrants identified after the deadline face expedited removal.

Lindell argues current civil fines have been almost never enforced and have failed to deter cash hiring; personal criminal liability for decision-makers is designed to change behavior quickly.

4. End the Cash-Pay Loophole

His plan eliminates any remaining exemptions that allow cash payments for services by undocumented or non-citizen workers to go unreported.

Full Form 1099-NEC and W-2 reporting would be required for all compensation, regardless of amount, starting the first tax year after enactment.
