The Deep Learning Indaba 2025 has officially kicked off in Kigali, Rwanda ๐ท๐ผ!
Today marks the vibrant start of Africa's premier machine learning and AI event, gathering over 1,000 participants at the University of Rwanda's Kigali Campus.
Under the powerful theme โUrunana โ Hand in Hand for AI in Africa,โ Day 1 was dedicated to welcoming our diverse community and our first sessions on Machine Learning Foundations and Generative Models.
We're looking forward to building on the success of past Indabas in South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ , Kenya ๐ฐ๐ช, Tunisia ๐น๐ณ, Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, and Senegal ๐ธ๐ณ, fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment dedicated to empowering Africans as active contributors and leaders in AI.
