In crypto, insider advantage usually means extraction at the expense of retail.

In prediction markets, insider advantage is informational: they shift the odds toward reality.

The “edge” they capture is really just a reflection of how well they know something others don’t, and the market benefits by converging faster on the true probability. In a way, it’s the cleanest form of insider participation one where their presence improves price discovery instead of corrupting it.
