@meganranney 1. Many post-Covid patients still feel exhausted after 60 days and haven't returned to their previous level of health. A small amount of exertion wipes them out for hours. This is known as Post-Exertional Malaise or PEM or crashing.

SO FUCKING CRINGE 🇮🇱🤡
An Israeli diplomat completely lost it on live TV after accusing a journalist in India of wearing a dress resembling the Palestinian flag colours.
The journalist destroyed him.
Trump has just destroyed the US beef industry. No country in their right mind is going to import US beef.
After Trump cut funding for Screwworm monitoring programs, the dangerous flesh-eating parasite has been found in US cattle for the first time since 1966.
‼️🛑I honestly hate to say it, but Thomas Massie is literally putting his life on the line. And I actually believe he knows this quite well.
It makes his stance even more heroic.
His decision to commemorate the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty on its 59th Anniversary, after having been defeated by Jewish money in Congress, is the single most courageous move I have ever seen a sitting American politician make during my lifetime.
It's a stuck up middle finger against 'Israel' and all it stands for, for the following reasons:
💥 the deliberate murder of American servicemen in plain sight by the Israeli air force is solidly proven, which means that the Ziønist influencers have zero arguments to present to counter it;
💥 he is doing it without this being in any way 'necessary', or 'called for', as 58 anniversaries have already passed unnoticed and unmentioned;
💥 he will have actual survivors from the attack present, which is a feature one can thing bring nothing up against;
💥 the effect of this act of insurgency is bound to create powerful ripples on social media, even if mass media try to ignore or downplay it.
Many liberals on the Democrat side will remain silent. Most of those are on the 'has the right to exist and defend itself' boat anyway. Which, I should take another opportunity to say, is utterly fucked up anyway.
Some of them will nevertheless get a powerful wake-up call, and realize that standing up against oppression takes precedence and priority over ideological differences in this time frame.
The main effect however, will take place on the Republican side. For most Republicans, the army is sacrosanct. Many of them have never heard of the USS Liberty tragedy. Many will truly be shaken to the core.
All I can do is pray for Thomas Massie.
And here is what I would say to him if I could see him face to face: "Massie, this is the courageous act of a real man, a true patriot, and a genuine revolutionary. You are a Lion among men. May God be with you."
Y’all need to check this out, the Albania situation is getting more intense by the day. Apparently, Saudis entered the chat!!
This is top-tier reporting.
This is really stupid, and it’s not getting enough attention.
The Trump administration is pulling a working $368 million ocean monitoring system out of the water, equipment taxpayers already bought, built, and sank into the deep ocean.
And they are doing it right when the oceans are behaving in ways that alarm the scientists who study them.
Record-breaking temperatures.
A system of Atlantic currents that may be lurching toward collapse.
The response?
Yank out the instruments and walk away.
That is not budgeting. That is smashing the gauges while the engine is on fire and calling it efficiency.
For what? The Trump administration dressed it up as a “nimbler approach” and “smart lifecycle management,” which is fancy nonsense for “we shut it off and hoped nobody would ask why.” There is no return-on-investment analysis. They cannot show taxpayers save a dime, because the gear is already paid for and the science it produces protects real money and real lives.
The kicker: the same people killing the monitors want to mine the deep sea for minerals. So they are destroying the only tools that could measure what that mining does. That is not an accident.
That is the point. You cannot see the damage if you break the instruments first.

This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
Let me reframe this for you. This is the government questioning the government to see if the government covered up for the government in the Epstein files. Shockingly, the government told the government that the government did nothing wrong.
BREAKING: A WHO official warns the Ebola strain involved in the current outbreak could have a fatality rate as high as 50%.
Think about how terrifying that number is.
Up to HALF of infected people could die based on previous outbreaks of this strain.
That is why health officials are taking this so seriously right now.
Because Ebola is not COVID.
It does not spread the same way.
But when outbreaks spiral out of control, the lethality can be absolutely catastrophic.
Five out of ten people.
That is the level of risk officials are warning about.
Impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection on subclinical myocardial injury in the general population: the Trøndelag Health Study
🚨NORWEGIAN CONFIRMATION BOMBSHELL:
COVID infection leaves lasting, hidden scars on the heart muscle, even years later.
"An elevated cardiac troponin I (cTnI) level indicates the presence of heart damage!"
➡️Study:
- This was a prospective longitudinal cohort study within the Trøndelag Health Study (HUNT), a large population-based survey in Norway,
- Researchers measured high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI), a sensitive blood marker of subclinical myocardial (heart muscle) injury, at baseline before the COVID-19 pandemic (2017–2019) in 37,823 general-population adults,
- The same marker was then re-measured after the pandemic wave (2021–2023) in the 19,550 participants who returned for follow-up,
- SARSCoV2 infection status was rigorously determined at follow-up via spike and nucleocapsid IgG antibody tests in blood, combined with self-reported infection history and any available laboratory confirmation of prior infection,
- Infection was defined using nucleocapsid IgG (specific to natural infection, not vaccination) plus spike IgG, self-report, and lab confirmation, precisely to capture true infections regardless of vaccination,
➡️Pre-infection result:
- Higher baseline hs-cTnI was associated with a lower risk of subsequent SARSCoV2 infection,
➡️Post-infection result:
- Confirmed SARSCoV2 infection (any definition) was independently linked to higher post-pandemic hs-cTnI concentrations and a significantly greater probability of an increase in hs-cTnI from pre- to post-pandemic levels, after full adjustment for confounders and baseline troponin,
➡️Vaccination:
- Study reports that 98.9% of participants were vaccinated and explain(in Methods) why they used nucleocapsid IgG (not spike) to avoid vaccine confounding,
➡️Limitations:
- Correctly sited and commented,
- No data on symptoms, asymptomatic/mild/severe cases, or hospitalization, but one may rightfully assume that the majority were mild SarsCoV2 cases,
➡️Conclusion:
“SARSCoV2 infection is associated with increased risk of developing chronic subclinical myocardial injury in the general population, but pre-existing chronic subclinical myocardial injury is not associated with increased risk of contracting SARS-CoV-2.”
‼️To all minimiser still shrugging off SARS-CoV-2 as “just a cold” or “over”: this Norwegian study proves every infection silently scars hearts across the general public with lasting subclinical damage, and with the now-established cumulative cardiac injury from reinfections, your denial is quietly killing many! WAKE-UP!

Coastal cities are replacing concrete seawalls with oyster reefs. The oysters are better at the job.
Seawalls start degrading the day they're installed. Waves chew them up, storms crack them, and the repairs never stop.
An oyster reef, on the other hand, doesn't break down. It actually grows. The oysters stack, reproduce, and fuse into living rock that gets stronger every year. A mature reef can cut incoming wave height by up to 83%, trap sediment, rebuild the shoreline behind it, and shelter fish, crabs, and shrimp while it does the work.
A hectare of reef provides up to $85,000 a year in shoreline protection. Concrete costs over a million dollars a hectare to build and only weakens.
Once again, working with nature instead of against it is the answer.
🚨 HOLY SHIT.
CNN just cited a New York Times estimate saying Trump has reportedly profited $1.4 BILLION from the presidency.
And the wildest part?
One panelist said Trump made MORE MONEY in the last year than in the rest of his life combined.
Think about that.
We were leaving to buy pond plants when my husband noticed a lifeless hummingbird on top of our garage freezer. I made sugar water and got the syringe. Hubs cradled the bird and gently dripped onto his beak. He woke up and slowly, very slowly, took a sip.
15 minutes later…❤️
Republicans in North Carolina just proposed a bill that says if a woman is caught with an IUD or attempts to get an abortion then men are allowed to use DEADLY FORCE to try and stop her. They are proposing a bill that will allow men to kill women for using birth control. It’s House Bill 1232. Keith Kidwell is the Republican who proposed the bill. He claims it counts as self defense to use deadly force to stop abortion. This is a man who claims to be pro life. Feel free to give his office a call and let him know how you feel about his opinion.
And for anyone who says “obviously this will never get passed” that’s not the point. The point is it’s fucking insanity that a government official would even try to make a law like this. It’s insanity that there are men out there who are trying to make it legal to kill women for making decisions for their own bodies. This is real and it’s happening right now in front of our eyes.
If you're happy about the Kennedy Center decision thank Joyce Beatty. @RepBeatty was the plaintiff in the case that made Donald cry and write a 10 page essay about how he was going to abandon the Kennedy Center because they ordered his name taken off of it.
