Alexis de Tocqueville: 'Without town institutions, a nation can pretend to have a free government, but it does not possess the spirit of liberty.'
Real liberty lives in local self-government — towns, schools, and communities where citizens govern themselves. Top-down freedom is an illusion.
Alexis de Tocqueville: 'The people rule the American political world as God rules the universe.'
A timeless truth about American democracy: ultimate power rests with the people, not elites or rulers. May we never forget it 🇺🇸.
Fidelity Month is here.
At Truth in the Public Square, we believe the strength of our nation flows from three unbreakable pillars: God. Family. Country.
This June, we proudly join the growing movement to reclaim fidelity — that old-fashioned virtue of faithfulness, loyalty, and commitment even when it’s hard or unpopular.
Fidelity to God — the foundation of truth, morality, and human dignity.
Fidelity to Family — the first and most important institution where children are raised and character is forged.
Fidelity to Country — a love of the American experiment and the principles that make her exceptional.
While some use this month to celebrate division and confusion, we choose the better way: restoring unity through faithfulness.
To every parent raising children with conviction, every spouse honoring their vows, every citizen defending liberty, and every believer standing firm — thank you.
Let this be the month we rededicate ourselves. Let June be marked not by pride in rebellion, but by fidelity to what is good, true, and lasting.
God. Family. Country.
This is our banner. This is our cause.
Join us in celebrating @FidelityMonth.

I wrote an article for @mbcpathway last month in the importance of cultivating wisdom while participating in our American system of governance.
Would love to hear your thoughts!

The Enlightenment influenced the rise of Hitler, Communism, and the other major catastrophes of the 20th century far more than it shaped the principles of America’s founding.
Change my mind.
I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be completing my PhD at @SBTS led by @albertmohler.
Looking forward to studying in the Christian Ethics and Public Theology program led by @AndrewTWalker, @jasonthacker, and other outstanding faculty.
Excited for what’s ahead!
“Our ultimate identity isn’t being an American, a conservative, or a Republican—it is being found in Christ.” — @harrrisonjlang
This truth must anchor every Christian in politics. Identity in Christ > earthly labels.

“Politics will always be messy because people are messy.” — @harrrisonjlang
Simple but profound. Our hope isn’t in perfect parties or leaders — it’s in Christ and faithful engagement anyway.

"Our ultimate identity isn’t being an American, a conservative, or a Republican—it is being found in Christ." – @harrisonjlang
is truth must anchor every Christian who steps into the public square. Earthly labels are secondary.
Our citizenship is first and foremost in heaven. What does this mean for how we engage politics today?

“The most important political work today is happening at the local and state levels—not just in Washington.” — @harrrisonjlang
Real culture change starts close to home.

“This is not about building another echo chamber—it’s about forming people who can lead winsomely in life, liberty, truth, family, and limited government while loving their neighbors.” — @harrrisonjlang
Truth in the Public Square exists to equip thoughtful Christian conservatives, not just rally the base.

Former Senator @BenSasse wasn’t rejecting the Republican Party. He was reminding us that parties are tools, not ends in themselves.
Our highest loyalty as Christians and citizens should be to God first, then to the principles of the American experiment — limited government, ordered liberty, truth, justice, and human flourishing — and only then to a political party.
“Celebrate the good, learn humbly from shortcomings, keep your priorities straight—and get to work building from the ground up.” — @harrrisonjlang
This is the posture we need right now in the conservative movement.
Which part resonates with you most?

“Our highest loyalty is to God, then to the principles of the American experiment, and only then to a political party.” — @harrrisonjlang
In a tribal age, this order keeps us grounded. Christ first. Principles second. Party last.
What do you think — does the Right need this reminder today?

Donald Trump delivered real goods for conservatives — strong borders, competent justices, produced economic growth, and pushing back against the cultural left. Those wins are worth celebrating.
But no leader is perfect. We must be honest about the shortcomings too if we want the GOP to deliver lasting conservative change — not just one man’s brand.
“If the Republican Party is to deliver lasting conservative change—not just reflect one man’s brand—we must be honest about both wins and failures.” — @harrisonjlang
Real leadership requires celebrating the good while learning from shortcomings. No movement grows without honesty.
