Captain Smit Machchhar to get Israel civilian heroism award after flight ordeal.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has invited Captain Smit Machchhar to Israel to honour him with the Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism.

What a beautiful and deeply moving gesture! Captain Smit Machchhar’s courage, compassion, and humanity have touched hearts across borders, bringing immense pride to both Israel and India.

This man is a hero.

Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.

Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.

Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.

A shocking food safety violation has come to light at Hotel Radha in Mumbai’s Malad West. During a Maharashtra FDA inspection on August 18, officials reportedly found live rats and cockroaches inside the kitchen, along with grease buildup, stagnant water, foul odour, dirty utensils and poor food storage conditions. Several utensils had rust marks, while a toaster was found placed over an open dustbin.

Following the inspection, the Maharashtra FDA suspended the hotel’s food business licence and barred it from cooking, storing, selling and supplying food.
