I agree that anything on BTC is of higher quality, but the purpose of memecoins (ie: coins without a value-added use case) is to be traded to acquire more of your preferred underlying asset.
Trading on-chain with BTC assets is slow and cumbersome, so it's not the best environment for traders.
Over time, people who value BTC above all else have realized it's just better to hold the underlying asset itself, or diversify into assets on BTC with a use case outside of trading (like Ordinals).
The real money in Runes was made a long time ago, and went to those who were there at the start. They made a lot of BTC off others selling arbitrary data cleverly etched into transaction.
If the purpose of a Rune is to hold it, it needs to have some tangible use case value for holding to be sustainable.
@ericweinstein I don't want to buy things.
I wouldn't simply read and write more; enough to make it my life.
Right now it's just a hobby; something I can occasionally do when I work enough.
I'll get there one day ๐ค
Ok I read and write a lot, and just browsing grokipedia for 10 mins I'll say it is pretty stellar.
Once navigation and imagery are populated it'll be no contest vs wiki
This was, hands down, the best episode of up only ever.
For anyone who hasn't listened to it: it's 3+ hours of ledger interviewing cobie about his journey into crypto, and was recorded a few years ago.
Highly recommend giving it a listen.
