@emily_fri Exactly. I was asked to cover(on an extra weekend) one of our remote hospitals and see icu and floor with no attending and bill for it . When I discussed pay they said it would be my base rate. When I (and others) declined they payed one out our docs locums pay to cover. 🤷‍♂️

But usually don’t get out until 730-8

@emily_fri Also protecting weekends. We should not be required to do more weekends the. Our attendings (ours were doing 1 a month while we did 20 a year) this drove people away.

@emily_fri Protecting our time off. My previous job moved to “structure us like physicians” and payed us for 6 weeks we didn’t work in our salary and asked us to just switch with other APPs if we need time off which gave our medical group all the flexibility.
