@MMark482@CopywriterBob Great point that nostalgia is built over time, not just by merely existing as a brand. It’s like a reward for older brands that have reached the top, another marketing tool for them to use #UMW417
@CopywriterBob Disney & Coke are great examples. The Coke Christmas polar bears is one of my favorites. Disney is ‘the happiest place on earth’ & appeals to generations of people due to the memories they associate with the brand. Nostalgia is different for all ages, but is effective #UMW417
@madslev@Capitaldemarca@KhabyLame Definitely agree that it’s a great targeting strategy if they’re targeting 18-25 year olds, this age group is also the most likely to spend money more freely than others & are not brand loyal, typically #UMW417
@Capitaldemarca@KashefMajid@KhabyLame I think the use of a tik-tok celebrity is a good marketing move since he is one of the most followed people on the app. I wonder what the stats are on marketing return when using a celebrity. I would try the product, but don’t plan on buying it, I don’t drink soda 🤷🏻♀️ #UMW417
@smasheka_@CopywriterBob@TODAYshow I wonder if they’ll lose profits or just stay at their current rate of return. I don’t see people cancelling their accounts over this, but I do see the people borrowing account information deciding to purchase another streaming service instead of Netflix. #UMW417
@CopywriterBob@TODAYshow Netflix has the right but as a consumer it’s annoying & seems out of greed. How are they going to track it? Some people own multiple homes &/or have multiple kids. Other companies should wait to see how consumers react before reacting themselves. #UMW417
@piercegonmissin @LaurelAynne A counter argument to that from the company’s perspective could be that it’s the parents responsibility to monitor what kids are exposed to #UMW417
@clog1200@F_A_R_N_O_U_S_H@WSJ Good example of how it’s already being used. At a certain point as the consumer, the price may make them feel a certain type of way, but they may still buy it due to their personal demand for the item being worth more than the price itself #UMW417
@F_A_R_N_O_U_S_H@WSJ As a customer, when prices drop I get excited. Like it’s a small sale just for me. When prices go up, especially by a lot, I may be less likely to buy it if it’s a luxury or look at a different brand or maybe look into another route of purchasing (online, local, etc.) #UMW417
@mydoanha@LaurelAynne I feel like Coca-Cola & Budweiser do this well with creating nostalgia around their own, older ads too. Some of my favorite commercials are those of the Budweiser Clydesdales & the Coca-Cola polar bears ❤️ #UMW417
@jakewiers @ClaireKaopua @KashefMajid Many times when a non-profit has a Facebook page, it is one of the first things to come up when you search them on Google, furthering their social media growth & reach. Their Facebook pages typically have events coming up and are more user friendly than websites #UMW417
@KashefMajid Many small non-profits get traction through people sharing their cause via their personal page, story, etc. sometimes on multiple platforms. This helps spread the organization's story & objective to a larger audience than they have access to independently #UMW417
@madslev@IsabellaC0022@LaurelAynne I agree & also don’t believe that all the answers robots give are exactly correct & sometimes leave me more confused and frustrated than a human would #UMW417
@LaurelAynne@KashefMajid (1) I believe having to reuse the new technology will reinforce individuals beliefs about it. If they’re not a fan they will then further not enjoy the technical experience. (2) I love self checkout at the store. Easy, less hassle & I can pack my bags how I wish! #UMW417
I work at aerie & this is true! we accept bras no matter how old , however we don’t accept bralettes. Please donate it’s a very good cause! ☺️ ( I THINK you get 15% on top of whatever promotion the bras have currently, but go into your local aerie for details!) ☺️
