Mike Johnson is lying through his teeth. There’s no “free health care for illegals.” Federal law bars it. Dems are just keeping ACA subsidies so working stiffs can afford premiums. He knows it, he’s just peddling nonsense fear because it’s easier than the truth.

Then there’s the $500 million for NPR. NPR doesn’t get $500 million. Never has. Their federal slice is around $75 million a year. That’s bus fare in the federal budget. Johnson knows this, but it sounds scarier if he throws a fake big number at the wall.

And the “$1.5 trillion spending hike”? That’s a trick. The actual health care asks are about $350 billion, stretched over ten years. Spread out, not dumped tomorrow. It’s not some trillion-dollar jackpot for Democrats. It’s undoing cuts and keeping people’s premiums from doubling. Remember they gave trillions in tax cuts to the rich.

Johnson’s “clean CR” isn’t clean. It’s laced with cuts. He wants to blame Democrats for a shutdown by waving nonsense stories about illegals and NPR. The truth? He’s protecting his party’s hostage strategy and hoping you’re too tired from working double shifts to notice.

And they call it “responsibly keeping the government open”? No. They're shutting down the working-class Americans and Democrats are trying to stop it.
