I don’t often write about myself, but today I shared something deeply personal: my experience fighting cancer while continuing to do a job I love.

Cancer tried to make my world smaller. I was determined not to let it.

I am incredibly grateful to be cancer-free, and even more grateful for President Trump, my family, friends, colleagues, medical team and faith that carried me through the hardest days.

I hope sharing my story might offer some strength to even one person still in the fight.

It's Sunday.

The restaurants in South Florida are packed. The malls are packed. The stores are packed. The streets are packed with people and cars.

Everywhere you turn commerce is being executed, people are spending, and businesses are cashing in!

The Trump economy is here.

There are a lot of people who worked really hard over the years to gain prominence, some sort of name recognition, and credibility.
Watching them fade into obscurity and panic-post to remain relevant is actually quite sad.

The world shifted beneath their feet, and they didn’t realize it until it was too late. Now their audience is gone. Their cash flow is gone. The high of being semi-famous is dwindling as they become infamous for incorrect opinions, inaccurate predictions, and failed endorsements.

As the door slams shut on their careers, their behavior becomes more unhinged and desperate. The predictions grow more ridiculous. For the women, they become more overtly sexual in their photos, language, and demeanor—anything to glean just a few more minutes of validation and relevance.

The audience matured. People grew tired of the silliness and, in almost a single collective sigh, stopped following, subscribing, liking, and watching their content.

As the tide went back out to sea, there they all lay in the sand, totally beached by their deviance, decadence, excess, and overall gluttony.

Watching this cycle occur—in what has to be the most totally predictable, obvious, and necessary natural evolution—they, along with all of us, will now simply remember how the entire internet caught lightning in a bottle for a decade before the lights went totally out.
