Those who did not witness the entire scene or read the verbatim account of the Oval Office meeting between Trump, Vance, and Zelensky—your comments are useless and misleading. It’s like watching just one round of a boxing match and then claiming to describe the entire fight. Even if no translation is ever perfect,

It is highly likely that Zelensky arrived fired up, influenced by manipulative figures like Macron, who wanted to sabotage the negotiation to regain control.

Control over what? He has failed at everything—his negotiations with Putin, the dissolution of parliament, and so on. Whether one sympathizes with Zelensky or not, he is the president of a country at war, and this carnage must stop.

For the record, no one blamed Obama when Crimea was annexed without resistance. At the time, Barack Obama was treated like some kind of deity—he could “walk on water,” “heal the sick,” and had even received the Nobel Peace Prize in advance.
Anyone who criticized him was immediately labeled a racist. Yet Obama caused disasters in the U.S., Ukraine, and Syria, and no one batted an eye.

It was actually Trump who began helping Ukraine, but since the election was stolen from him, he couldn’t do more. Biden then let Russia do whatever it wanted. Zelensky could have cost Biden the election by exposing Hunter Biden—corrupt, drug-addicted, and forcibly placed on the board of Burisma, Ukraine’s energy company—but he didn’t. Instead, he helped Biden and the Democrats.
Biden even boasted publicly about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired, yet there was total silence in the U.S., Europe, and Ukraine.

When Trump made a personal call to Zelensky asking him to tell the truth, they launched an impeachment against him. That’s one of the reasons—not the only one—for this “public serenade.” It’s called transparency.

Zelensky knows very well that without a ceasefire, no peace process is possible. His European handlers prevented him from accepting one.

He will eventually return with a change of heart—after 10,000 more deaths.

The U.S. no longer intends to act as a low-cost mercenary force for Europe, which it has been protecting since 1949. It will not allow itself to be dragged into a world war.

It’s up to Europe to take responsibility for itself.

It was clear as day that Zelensky is not interested in ending the war.
I truly don’t understand what people wanted Trump to do. Zelensky WAS extremely disrespectful and was making demands on live TV from the country who has provided the MOST amount of $ and equipment. Any other leader would have tried to negotiate behind closed doors. He expected Trump to talk negatively about Putin on live TV which would have not only destroyed any deal Trump could have made FOR them - are any other countries trying to negotiate an end to this war? Let’s not forget this is not our war.
I don’t agree with the question about Zelensky’s clothing, I honestly couldn’t care less about what he wears - he’s a foreign leader, not a WH staffer & in my opinion it was childish, disrespectful & that reporter prob shouldn’t be allowed back in the WH when POTUS or the VP are meeting with a foreign leader.
Are we just supposed to send Ukraine money & weapons forever or until someone wipes out the other country? A depleted military becomes a desperate military. Read between the lines on that one. Let’s not forget, Russia is also being supplied weapons - but no one is talking about it. So where does it end? Trump is right, it will just keep the war going and will possibly lead to escalation.
Did everyone forget about November? When Biden TOLD Ukraine they could use US made weapons to strike INTO deep Russia? What happened after they did? Russia fucking threatened us and lowered their nuclear threshold. Do people not understand how serious that is?
Trump is also right about staying neutral. This is not our war. It would be stupid to be the mediator and pick sides. Aid to rebuild, maybe, but all of these other foreign leader coming out publicly supporting Ukraine on X need to step up. Don’t talk about it, be about it. The US should pause on any aid until everyone else defending Zelensky’s actions today catches up.
Talks about securities are behind door conversations & the MSM was baiting Trump over and over again to say something that could be construed as making a threat to Russia - just imagine the headlines.
