Basic financial literacy in this country is almost nonexistent. We don’t teach it in schools. It should be the second most important topic, just after literacy. People don’t understand mortgages, interest rates, compound interest, it’s bonkers this isn’t standard for all schools.
At Pensacola Beach, Florida, 8-year-old Jessie Arbogast is attacked by a bull shark in shallow water.
The shark bites off Jessie’s right arm but Jesse’s uncle, Vance Flosenzier, dives into the surf, grabs the shark by its tail, and drags it ashore.
Once there, Flosenzier wrestles Jessie’s arm from its jaws, then holds it steady until a park ranger can shoot it dead.
After a 12-hour operation, surgeons manage to re-attach Arbogast’s arm. He is in critical condition, but is expected to make a full recovery.

But you can’t ban American Patriotism, you can’t ban love of this country, no matter how hard you try.
American Patriots - 1
Communist Mayor - 0
They left home as boys 8 decades ago to go out and save the world. Last night they sat at the WWII Memorial together and celebrated their country's 250th. Still heroic.
It's the 4th of July, on the 250th, and you find out The Liberty Bell has the Bible verse Leviticus 25:10:
"Proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land unto all the inhabitants thereof."
25 x 10 = ??? Ring That Bell 🇺🇸
Abraham Lincoln: "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we lose our freedoms, it will be because we have destroyed ourselves from within."
Thoughts?
There have been 4 major revolutions in the past 250 years: American, French, Russian, and Chinese. Only one led to individual rights and prosperity. The others led to mass death and tyranny. The US revolution was unique because it said two things: 1. Our rights come from God not from the govt. 2. Humans are power -hungry so we need to limit govt power. So the next time someone attacks the nation of one revolution that succeeded and recycles the the idea of those that miserably failed, you can ask them: are you ignorant, or malicious?
Wherever you are on this Independence Day, take a moment and watch the entire song (not just 8-10 seconds, as it's the average attention span of X videos) and appreciate the words and feeling you hopefully get when you listen to Ray Charles
