Congratulations to all those recognised in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List. Your dedication, service and contribution to our communities are an inspiration and reflect the very best of public life. Thank you for all that you do. #Gwent
The King addresses his Guards ahead of Trooping The Colour tomorrow!
“I won’t recognise any of you under your bearskins but I know how much effort you’re putting into it….I am very proud of you.”
It was a pleasure to attend the annual 'Sounding the Retreat' ceremony at Pontefract Castle, hosted by Brigadier Mark Wilson MBE, Rifles Regional Colonel North.
The event provided an opportunity to recognise the dedication, professionalism and service of our Armed Forces.
Today, I attended the Yorkshire Regiment's 20th Anniversary and
Freedom of the Town Parade in Keighley.
A lovely afternoon marking a significant moment.
Yesterday I met with with the @VictimsComm to discuss strengthening support for victims and survivors across the justice system.
It was a positive meeting in which we discussed how coordinated services, clearer pathways, and initiatives like Victim Navigators and Care Hubs could improve outcomes for those affected by exploitation and abuse.
I looks forward to continuing this collaboration.

With less than 100 days until the Commonwealth Games, we are hosting a panel discussion tomorrow in @UKParliament. If you're around please come along. We will be exploring how @Glasgow_2026 came to be and what makes it different from previous games!
The @CommonsHomeAffs report on routes to settlement is a stark warning – forcing migrant workers on employer-sponsored visas to wait 15 years to apply for settlement will increase exploitation risks.
When migrant workers are tied to one employer, they can be left trapped in low pay, poor conditions and afraid to speak out. This not only harms those directly affected but also undermines the Government’s economic growth agenda.

The 74th Westminster Seminar has started. Baroness Patricia Scotland, former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, gave an inspirational speech about how parliamentarians can work together and learn from one another to strengthen parliamentary democracy throughout the Commonwealth. 🌍
“As we sit together around these tables, we sit as equals.”
This #IWD we want to celebrate the incredible women we work with across the Commonwealth! #Givetogain is at the heart of what we do here at CPA UK, and we want to champion the relationships we’ve successfully built with incredible women, including parliamentarians.
Get ready for International Women's Day #IWD by reading our blog by Janet Routledge, MLA, British Columbia.
This blog reports on how CWP outreach in British Columbia is building connections between current women MPs and future women leaders ⬇️

Today I published the findings of my independent review into sex-for-sale websites and their role in enabling sexual exploitation and trafficking in the UK.
Drawing on survivor testimony and data and legal analysis, the review demonstrates these sites are not neutral hosts. Their design and limited oversight allow exploitation to be initiated, scaled, concealed, and normalised.
The reviewed found that 59% of adverts displayed three or more exploitation risk indicators.
I am calling on the Government to strengthen platform accountability and formally review the current regulatory framework.
This is about safeguarding and accountability.

The Shire Hall is open and staffed 7 days a week. The support available is for everyone in north Monmouthshire impacted by flooding. The base is in Monmouth because that’s the highest concentration, but the service / support is for the wider area 👇
Cambridge 2030 shared progress after 5years on our ambitious journey to shift the inequality dial in the city - momentum is growing and conversations that were not happening in 2020 are now front & centre - inequality is recognised and there is a sense of energy, new ideas are tested, partnerships being built & communities involved. Innovate Cambridge, @innovateuk@camcitco@CambsPboroCA@Cambridge_Uni are all looking at inclusive growth so local people feel the benefits & innovation opens doors not closes them……but to make sure this happens we need continued action & proof not talking & hoping…..
This event was inspiring and exemplified the acorns have a real chance of becoming mighty oaks!
