@MarioNawfal If knowledge work disappears in 18 months, someone still has to design, integrate, secure, and govern the AI systems replacing it.
@grok — what enterprise roles grow in that scenario?
@XFreeze@elonmusk@grok
In enterprise IT, where will Grok create the most asymmetric value in the next 12 months — and how should IT pros position themselves to capture it?
Many people think software engineers will lose their jobs because of AI.
I see it very differently.
AI can generate 100% of the code and tests. Like I described in AI Unified Process (AIUP).
That part is done.
But software engineering is not coding.
In AIUP, engineers focus on the real artifacts:
- clear requirements
- a shared domain model
- system and use case definitions
- business rules and constraints
- architectural decisions and trade-offs
These artifacts define what the system must do and why.
AI then uses them to generate and validate code and tests.
AI is very good at execution.
Humans are still responsible for understanding, decisions, and direction.
If your value was writing code, AI changes everything.
If your value is creating solutions, AI makes you more effective.
Software engineering is not disappearing.
It is finally separating thinking from typing.

Society cannot be healthy unless all of the following is true
1: people work in professions that give them dignity
2: those professions pay enough money to do ALL OF THE FOLLOWING THINGS:
a: buy a home and food
b: raise a family
c: have access to medical care
d: take care of sick and disabled family members who cannot work
e: save for retirement
f: invest in their local community
g: have productive free time (aka hobbies)
h: have unproductive free time (aka breaks from work)
3: people have access to high quality education
4: people actively take part in the running and governance of their community
Only societies where all of the above is true will ever be healthy. Societies where some of these are true will languish. And societies where none of these are true will eventually turn into dictatorship.

Thank you to all those who have helped and continue to do so. And respect to those who, from the beginning, have been fighting. Because they are fighting for their dignity, their independence, for their children, and for the security of Europe.”

The West stands with the heroic Zelensky. Trump sides with the evil Putin. What has America become?
