NOMA and the AIA Large Firm Roundtable Strengthen Ties to Combat Racism in Architecture | Architect Magazine https://t.co/rSP8D3g4E1 Kudos to both organizations for this important initiative. It will make a very big and positive impact.
Here is a great article from the organization on which I serve as a board member. I think it is a timely piece about safe homes for older adults. They have some great practical solutions for right now and for planning ahead. https://t.co/TJ8Yas0rwh
On how crises like Hurricane Katrina & #COVID19 can fuel collaboration & social responsibility in #HigherEducation. “Education combining rigorous academic training with meaning & social impact resonates with many students.” @TulaneKenneth of @TaylorTulane https://t.co/5jH4J3dGhi
Yesterday’s ruling is a big win for North Carolina—and for all of us. Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around. This win is proof that change is always within our reach, on gerrymandering, voting rights, and much more.
Sad to see that former Governor Blanco died. She was a good and honorable person who presided during one of the most tragic moments in the history of our state-Hurricane Katrina. We all owe her a debt of gratitude for service. My heart and sympathy goes out to her family.
I taught in West Baltimore. I adore my kids, their parents, and grandparents. They all want the same thing I want for my kids: the chance for their children to have safe, happy and productive lives. Let’s think about the language we use, who it hurts.
The president has once again (but even more obviously than usual) made clear his unapologetic bigotry, nativism and racism. Are GOP leaders, donors and voters still fine with re-nominating Donald Trump for president? Do they really believe the Republican Party can do no better?
@TulaneEmergency I have received over a dozen alerts about the tornado warning, even well after the warning expired. I keep hitting 1 to confirm, and the confirmation is noted, but I keep getting calls. Apparently I need to turn off my phone completely.
