Two Men, Including a 49-Year-Old Mozambican National, Arrested After Police Uncovered Illegal Blue Lights Fitted to a Private Vehicle in Centurion
Two men have been arrested by the South African Police Service (SAPS) for the alleged illegal fitting and possession of blue lights on a private vehicle in Centurion. The suspects, aged 40 and 49, are expected to appear before the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Monday, 6 July 2026, on charges linked to the unauthorised use of blue lights.
The case began in June when police officers conducting a roadblock in the Wierdabrug area stopped a vehicle fitted with blue lights. During questioning, the female driver told officers that the vehicle belonged to her husband. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 40-year-old owner on Friday, 3 July 2026.
Police later arrested a 49-year-old Mozambican national on Saturday, 4 July 2026. He allegedly fitted the blue lights to the private vehicle. The pair face charges relating to the contravention of Regulations 176 and 185 of the National Road Traffic Regulations, which prohibit the unauthorised fitting and use of blue lights on private vehicles.
SAPS warned that the illegal use of blue lights remains a serious concern, saying criminal syndicates known as the "blue light gang" have used them to impersonate law enforcement officers and commit robberies and hijackings. Police said anyone manufacturing, selling, fitting or using unauthorised blue lights will face the full might of the law as operations continue to remove them from South Africa's roads.

Dear Hustlers,

The Two grown men on the last image are kidnapped victims chained with a motorbike rim chain.
The teenage boy in the first and second image is a bandit who kidnapped them.
Indeed weak men die many times before they actually die.
Imagine what treatment a teenager is melting on these adults because he's holding a gun and proud to be called a bandit.
Before you chain me it's either I kpai by your gvns or you kpai by the same gvn.
I don't think any man should allow someone to do this to them cos of fear of death when you know once you are chained your life is not guaranteed anymore. Except you acted out of impulse cos a loved one was at the scene and you were threatened with their own lives.
