🚨💍 OFFICIAL: FIFA to award the winners of the World Cup with championship rings.
It’s the first time in history, following some of the American sports.
30 rings will be made available to the world champions, with a further 1,996 rings going on sale to fans.
Let me tell you one secret.
Lionel Messi is the best player to ever play this game.
Not even Pelé or Maradona.
You can have your GOAT...
But mine is Messi.
This video instantly reminded me of a funny experience. 😂
One early morning after leaving the NSS base (thanks, Eniola 😊), my iPhone died, so I had to log into my Android to access my account.
Doing face verification in the middle of a crowd was peak embarrassment. 😂
Do you even know why most Nigerian fintechs ask for your BVN
Here’s why:
Most people think BVN is just proof you’re a real person.
That’s not why fintechs collect it.
BVN exists because Nigeria’s banking system had no single identity for a customer across institutions. You could open 10 accounts under slightly different spellings of your name and no bank would know it was you.
CBN fixed that in 2014 with a centralized biometric ID tied to your fingerprints and face, sitting in NIBSS’ database not the bank’s.
So when a fintech asks for your BVN at signup, it’s not storing a random number. It’s running a real-time lookup against that central database to confirm you are who you say you are, before your account even goes live.
This is also why your account gets flagged the moment something looks off. CBN’s 2023 tiering rules mean your BVN (or NIN) decides your transaction ceiling miss it, and you’re capped at ₦30k/day whether you like it or not.
The BVN isn’t a formality. It’s the fraud perimeter.
Skip it, and the fintech is flying blind on every account it onboards.
This wasn’t the walkover a lot of people (including me) anticipated. Cape Verde played with incredible heart, organization, and no fear they made Argentina look uncomfortable for long stretches and earned massive respect. Props to them; they punched way above their weight.
CRISTIANOOOOO
This is what he Does!!!!
Silencing doubters after the last week, not team player ffs!
Another World Cup, Another Goal 👊🏽⚽️🔥
