People often talk about passion, and also about giving up. But what these things actually are and how to know if one possesses them is something most people remain silent about.

I don't think passion is something that appears at the beginning of the journey.

In that early stage of youth, there are only three common things: a hobby, an obsession, or a fantasy. Liking something too much will turn into an obsession, and once obsessed, it's hard to remain rational. Being immersed in one's own thoughts about certain success is also a form of fantasy. These things easily capture someone for half a year. But after one or two years, most people will give up. They abandon their pursuit when they see that their efforts do not yield the desired results.

The second stage of pursuing passion, after all the excitement has passed, is often the most difficult. It is the stage where everyone faces a sense of hopelessness every day. They don't know when their hard work will pay off, and can only maintain their belief to move forward.

Do you know why many people cry when they stand up to receive an award?

I don't think it's a moment of weakness, but a clear revelation that a person has been strong for too long. At that exact moment, they dare to believe that they have achieved something, to finally release the struggle and let all the emotions flow naturally, accompanied by inexplicable sobs.

Perhaps in this life, that is what everyone craves the most. Not wealth, fame, a beautiful spouse, or intelligent children. It's the feeling that life has been dedicated to pursuing an unimaginably difficult challenge, living each day in despair, and then, inadvertently, in a moment, finding the finish line.

At that moment, no matter who you are, you would want to cry a lifetime's worth.
