@peterrhague On audible: Dan Wells Zero G Chronicles (3 short books with kid heros outsmarting bad guy adults). I enjoyed them but definitely written for kids, maybe 7-14.

@DrPhiltill Maybe the big ejects pieces are flame trench output cover panels that blow out. They seem to be all flat squares the same size. Having covers would make sense to keep rain and seawater spray (and birds) from getting in there.

@DJSnM Also need to know the centrifugal acceleration from the booster rotation in order to see if the booster fuel came loose from bottom of the tank. I wonder if there were cameras in the tanks?

@DJSnM Slugs (mass in English units, lbs/32.2 ft/s2). Also even weirder, Slinches (like slugs but with inches). This is used in finite element modeling when lengths are in inches).
