We took an extra precaution during one of our covering events, putting some pine straw under the covers in a couple shady areas that stay frozen longer. Can confirm with @BearTraceHB, soil temps are about 2 degrees warmer under the pine straw compared to just covers alone.
@bradshawtylerw@HectorsShop@MikeRollinsSIP Having issues with our @ToroGolf 3300 Triflex. Shutting off when setting reels down, and when transporting. Not the ignition or emergency brake switches, battery is good. Bypassed seat switch, new fuel pump. No codes. Any ideas?
@JonathanTurf Awesome looking property!
Are you broadcast spraying those areas? If so, are you using the spray gun just to avoid the look of tire tracks or are there additional reasons?
@turfmow Billy Bob drove over the curb with his truck causing ruts in the dormant Bermuda, then the green committee chairman decided to re-sod with cool season grass because it looks pretty.
@Mmolton21@SimplotTurf Looks great!!
GPS sprayer?
If not, what’s your process for getting it so precise? Lumen shadow or lux and what rate and spray volume? Thanks!
@preinhardtgcs Doing this within a few weeks! Tell me more. Just one pass outside the teeboxes with prodiamine? Do you drop spread the rye on the edges and rotary the middle? Or rotary everything?
@BridgesAndrew@BayerUS Grassy weeds can be difficult to control. Proper ID is a must. Vernation? Auricles? Ligule? If that doesn’t narrow it down considerably, take a sample and grow it out in a potted container until it goes to seed. Seedhead will make ID much easier.
