@FootballInT80s Jim Hagan, from Larne in Northern Ireland, moved to Spanish side Celta Vigo in โ87 and subsequently won the Overseas Player of the Year ahead of the likes of Gary Lineker. A total travesty that he never received a full international cap for his country!๐คฌโฝ๏ธ
@surreycricket Was sitting beside his parents the day he made his test debut against Australia at Trent Bridge, they were so proud as Adam was making his too, which is rare in itself.
Little did they know what lay ahead, so tragic, at such a young age just starting your international career๐๐
@ToppersSnr Legendary England players Monty Lynch, Paul Parker and Geoff Humpage also played, and even got to face my Kent and England legend Derek Underwood for a few overs!
Magical day all round Don๐๐๐บ
@CricketopiaCom Was lucky enough to meet him in โ96 at the now Bay Oval in NZ. He was promoting his new franchise โQuik Cricketโ at an ND v Auckland game, and what a great guy he was๐he even tooted his car horn at me as I walked home with my mates!!๐ฅ๐คฃ๐
@amittalwalkar Absolutely! We had a great friendship and I used to come to nets before everyone else to do our warm-up and give him throw downs.
Great times and fantastic memories of Raman๐
@amittalwalkar Was lucky enough to play with Raman when he joined Cliftonville CC, and we became great friends, so much so that I was at his wedding to Kim.
He also gave me his Indian cap that he wore in that โ86 series, something that Iโll treasure forever.
What a player, and what a man๐๐ฉท
@desmondloughery So sorry for your loss Dessie-cancer is cruel, destructive disease that devastates families.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this heartbreaking time for you all๐
@Shane45935970@TavernFootball Just read it on holiday there, some stories in it I have to say! Couldnโt leave it down, so that tells you enough๐โฝ๏ธ๐ฅ
@Paulmcgrath5 Paul, just home from my holidays where I read your autobiography-one the best and most honest reads I have to say๐
Two legends together๐ฅโฝ๏ธ๐ช
