There's a very interesting connection between Mark Zuckerberg's right-wing turn and the guy who might be the most powerful person in American media. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, so...
A thread.
Here’s a curious tale involving Boris Johnson, the annual allowance for former Prime Ministers, and the man Kemi Badenoch chose to stand in for her at PMQs last month. Oh, and £67,803 of taxpayers’ money handed to Johnson that he wasn’t entitled to claim. (1/8)
Get in the fucking bin @BBCNews, you fucking division spreading lying cunts.
Headline: Rioter Jailed for asking if drivers were 'white'.
Reality: He pleaded guilty to violent disorder, torching a car, racist chanting, and pushing a bin that was on fire at police.
Apparently doctors, nurses, barristers, civil servants, postal staff, BT workers, teachers, bin men & firefighters are greedy Marxists scum when they strike for slightly better pay but farmers, against paying IHT on farms over £3m, need our sympathy

Meanwhile in Russia: Putin's presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev said, "To achieve success in the election, Donald Trump relied on certain forces to which he has corresponding obligations. As a responsible person, he will be obliged to fulfill them."
🚨 BREAKING: The King and Prince William are using their estates "largely seized by medieval monarchs" for tax-free deals with government departments to maintain their wealth
The King will charge a London NHS Trust over £11 million in 15 years for ambulance parking at a duchy warehouse, while the Ministry of Justice pays £1.5m a year to William's duchy for Dartmoor prison
The royals also charge for crossing rivers, offloading cargo, running cables under beaches, operating schools and charities, and even digging graves

@harryjparkin Scotland/Wales/North of England and build towards the south for a change and there would be more pressure to make sure the project is complete by politicians because EVERYTHING in the bloody UK is about London and the south east ultimately.
@harryjparkin As so many have already pointed out, and then you’ve replied about Wales/Scotland being “next” I’d argue this is part of the problem. We are ALWAYS next. Projects always start in London and then become about London and get cancelled. Eurostar/HS2. Instead, start projects in 1/2
Hello! @IwriteOK Just finished listening to the latest episode of BTB and it reminded me of the time a certain someone got laughed at by the public and members of parliament whilst giving “evidence” to a committee https://t.co/KuZ2WYtdcx
@notcapnamerica Equality for the oppressed feels like oppression for the privileged.
Simple as that, they don’t want to FEEL like they’ll be treated the way they’ve treated people previously/historically. Which you could say is them lashing out in fear?
Wheelchairs in King’s College Hospital are being hired out like Boris bikes, costing £2 an hour.
"people arriving at the hospital and unable to walk to A&E are pointed towards a hiring dock full of wheelchairs unlocked by a credit card machine."

@c_l84 Late to the replies but my fave is Yes Sushi on Hanover street. Wee family places, does loads besides sushi but never had a bad meal and the service is great! Cheap too!
Think this is bad?
In the USA they charge for your pain relief, your chemo, your stay and all your treatment.
Fight against all NHS privatisation like your life depends on it. One day it just might!

I'll make my point a little more seriously.
£37bn of tax money of many people reading this went during Covid to allegedly corrupt people and organisations.
Not one head has rolled, not one person arrested, not one person doorstepped to answer questions.
Just one puff ball interview with one woman and her husband.
That £37bn has cost British lives, savings, businesses and hope. Still, 4 years later, zero accountability for a monster political story.
Instead, in all seriousness, a senior UK tv journalist has tweeted a story that's so irrelevant that anyone reading it can only draw one conclusion. That "look over there at a shiny bulshit story that'll titilate " replaces serious political journalism surrounding corruption of the state.
You've just tweeted a one liner in Private Eye when you should be looking for the front page of UK state corruption.
"The Kavanaugh investigation stopped" is a Watergate level story
"The Putin gets COVID testing machines meant for hospitals" is an Iran-Contra level story
"The 7 calls with Putin while in possession of classified materials" is a Rosenberg level story
#News is failing us
Trump Bibles are made in Hangzhou, China. They shipped 120,000 of them this year to US. Cost to wholesaler is $3 each. Trump is selling them for $60. Are his new China tariffs going to be slapped on these since they cost American jobs, or will these get one of his famous waivers.
