@kevinxu You aren’t missing anything. They pay you 2% but on the books; it increases their income. They use program banks to house your money and collect interest off it and bolster their operating cash flow. The 2% is basically profit sharing with you. You still have access to your $$$

Our schools hospitals jails and everything are filled with most of the most unhealthy options; which makes it less of an option and more something you are taught; that is what gets promoted primarily here aswell. I prefer using credit to my advantage personally; perhaps look into getting credit accounts with banks that are struggling so you can close ahead of them
