@HeatForce@kangminlee I don't know why his defense is fine with it. But if you ask every Black juror, "how do you FEEL about sending a Black person to jail for life" what do you think most people, Black or White, would say? Because they all said, "I don't know how I'd feel". How is that controversial?
@ArtoftheMil@AVGirl4Life Why carry a gun in Texas? It's amazing how all the 2A people who claim its not the weapon it's the person are suddenly now fixated on the idea that he had a "knife" so he must have automatically been up to no good right? 🤔😒
@JulieBoudicca@FlaDogLover I never said "it wasn't possible" I said women didn't own property in 1820. And they didn't. That you found 1 that did is an outlier not the norm.
But again, if you don't care what happened 160 years ago, why do you keep commenting?
@DreAllDay@BarackoBaggz914 If standards of beauty haven't changed, Ashley Graham nor any plus sized model wouldn't exist.
That YOU believe standards of beauty haven't changed is a reflection of ur lack of awareness of what has been deemed beautiful throughout time. Not to mention, beauty is subjective.
@JulieBoudicca@FlaDogLover About 46% of the pop in the South owned slaves and 100% of the US pop participated in using slaves and/or benefitted from the slave economy. There really is no point in saying only 1% owned slaves other than to try and diminish slavery
I don’t have to own a car to ride in one.
@JulieBoudicca@FlaDogLover How many women at that time owned property? The fact remains it’s a misleading statistic. It’s like saying less than 50% of the US pop is having babies when obviously everyone in the pop can’t.
@justjimsopinion@DarkSideAdvcate “We” don’t NEED to do more because someone else didn’t raise their kid right.
Stats don’t “prove” anything. Stats are numbers. Your interpretation of those numbers is subjective. 55% of murdered does not “prove” Black men are violent criminals. (Just an example.)
@justjimsopinion@DarkSideAdvcate Their family. Not their entire community. Thats what lends itself to blaming, harming, harassing hard working Black people b/c Blacks are seen as a collective. Not as individuals. That was MLKs whole point of content of character not color of skin comment.
@justjimsopinion@DarkSideAdvcate Who is the community and what MORE do you really think the community needs to do? Again, why are you blaming the collective “community” for the actions of the worst in the community? No other community is held responsible for the actions of individuals.
@ShockleyBowls@Behembaba Listen dumbass. He didn’t steal anything, threaten them or brandish a weapon. The only one who saw a weapon was the man’s son and he’s testifying for his father’s life.
Maybe read a little more and you won’t sound as stupid as you do.
@justjimsopinion@DarkSideAdvcate The stats don’t “mean” anything. They’re just stats. We attribute meaning to them. That’s the problem. There’s a difference between 55% of murders are by Black men & “Black men are violent” based on that stat when that 55% is less that 1% of Black men.
@justjimsopinion@DarkSideAdvcate To say the community is doing all it can would imply you know of specific things you think the “community” isn’t doing. Every community has bad actors. Thats not the community’s fault. No community is perfect. And I know there is a lot the community does that you’re not aware of.
@justjimsopinion@DarkSideAdvcate The issue isn’t the stats. The issue is what people believe about them. Black men may commit 10k murders. That’s a fact. That doesn’t mean the Black community encourages crime. There’s a difference between data and what we say it means.
@ShockleyBowls@Behembaba You don’t have that right when you are the aggressor. If you chase me 130 yards, not knowing your intent, are you suggesting I don’t have the right to defend myself with deadly force? What did the boy think Chow was going to do when he caught him? Shake his finger at him.
