@thsottiaux The 24-hour (weekly spread to 7 days) limit should be the only constraint. Getting locked out for days is unpleasant. A "finished for the day" limit or at least a more divisible 4 hours/168 hours seems more natural. + slowmode when?
Sol demonstrates exceptional capability and intelligence, adeptly managing all assigned tasks with notable efficiency. Its value proposition remains unparalleled in the current market.
@buttkicker6769@kaizu_r If you think that, you've not been exploring, there are many things hidden that are unmarked - even from lootmapper - checklists are there for people who don't want to explore and just want it done. Those people would use third party maps anyway.
@DarkholIow@AhrenGray it's abusable by gamers as well, you can very easily add/remove achievements, complete a game, remove achievement, refund. and they wont change how achievements endpoint is "unsecure" as all previous games would get affected - and most wouldn't get updated breaking achievements.
@IsolatedWatcher@SverunGames that would force negative reviews, which would cause more issues to game's discoverability. Also there are plenty of reasons to recommend a game and refund it, because while you might appreciate the game, it might not be for you.
@DDDurango@homie_sama@TylerGlaiel@schindigg https://t.co/09lZKpb4p6 yeah because that never happened before. so ridiculous /s. and they actually had to do something other than reinstall another OS (or disable steam autoboot and plug in like with SM if Linux is used.)
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp the issue is they all are the same... yes there are very minimal small differences, but the core gameplay loop you are doing is the same. People have been criticizing ubi this since fc primal/5. it's like if cod devs would create a new game and it's medal of honor.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp sure i agree there, you just answered your question though. This "ignoring the facts because they disagree with you" mentality is why they mismanage the games. Chris from PoE said it best, listen to what your players want and give them what they actually need.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp I personally like the more recent AC titles, though I know this is not widely shared. BF Resynced has the potential to be a success, assuming its execution avoids issues such as performance, excessive alterations, or still too many player dissatisfaction with RPG mechs.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp games this year alone, not 3y with 4x the employees. The output to cost is on a whole different scale, and we are not even talking about the quality of those games, and not addressing the issues gamers en masse have with the Ubi formula that hasn't been addressed for a decade now
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp Execution and success rate. Ubisoft bets on AC too hard, and most of their other projects are too small for the size of the company. They have 17k employees, IIRC, compared to Capcom's 4k. They release less games and don't listen to their playerbase regarding AC, losing sales.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp Like if RE X is a commercial failure, MH DLC, SF6, DD2 DLC can pick up the slack, or a new IP becomes a success like Pragmata did. Diverse portfolio and frequent releases in various genres and types of games. Same with korean/chinese devs using gacha games to fuel AAA SP games.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp i explicitly said they are doing many things, RE, MH, Pragmata, megaman, onimusha, street fighter, dmc,kunitsu-gami,exoprimal and so on. they are not using 3 studios to develop cod1, cod2 and cod3, or hellblade 1-2 over a decade+. kunitsu and exo were failures yet they are net +.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp look at JP studios, square releases big hits, and "smaller" games, capcom as well. even RGG is releasing mainline and remakes/remasters/spinoffs between releases quite often. instead 5-7 years development for a failure.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp neither of these are caused by players and ANYONE with an ounce of common sense could shoot it down in the idea phase. The current state of gaming is absolutely caused by big companies mismanagement, and rushing head first into failures, without any backup to fall back on.
@beyond_fps@roger_creus_art@synaesthesiajp the issue with this argument is that it does not even consider the scale of the consumer base. Yes it costs more to live, and yes there are significantly more players. Devs often making games for non existent audiences on a high budget is the issue.
