As I said, there are other machines but without ASML there is no modern smartphone, no AI, nothing that makes us a modern society. China also doesn't have the most advanced chips and if they do theyare also made with ASML machines

The only reason the US spends so much on military is because they want to force themselves onto everyone to protect their own interests

They benefitted in the cold war by supporting Europe. I hope Europe wakes up when we have a strong military again and closes all US bases here

I agree it's still not enough, but the US has always agreed to defend us also because of their own interest. Seeing how America is not and ally any longer, we should support European defense manufacturing
