I'm a linguist who specialises in the study of meaning (pragmatics) and who is interested in argumentative, persuasive and deceptive phenomena in discourse
I'm very happy to share the 1st of a series of 3 popularization videos (in French) about my field of expertise, pragmatics. Feel free to like, share and subscribe to the channel! Many thanks to @LouNoahOdermatt for working on this with me!

I briefly mentioned permissibility norms and confirmation bias (without really getting into the details) in a quick interview for the Swiss national radio today (around min 9): https://t.co/eF6jHG9mMq
Native speakers of English: would you have some 20-30 mins to help one of my students out by filling in this survey? Please also distribute further if you know people who might be willing to help science! :) https://t.co/tJcuY6NR7a
It finally happened: today I was asked to review a (short) paper on a new and "disruptive" research exchange platform in which the author basically copy-pastes chatGPT's response to one of his earlier papers on the meaning of life (I kid you not)...
...The point is to show that chatGPT can help in being less subjective. Perhaps I'll ask chatGPT to review that paper - so to review its own production - and submit it as a way of improving objectivity in peer-reviewing, I don't know.
The special issue on 'Pragmatics and Argumentation' guest edited by yours truly is now available as a reprint. The full volume is freely downloadable as a pdf from the publisher's website and a print version will be available for purchase very soon. https://t.co/sS5K0Cbt16
