#dafyomi#brachot2a wonders where we begin. It starts with the assumption of the mitzvah of saying Shema. Then it asks why. Sometimes we have to immerse ourselves in order to understand. Jump in. Participate. The water is warm.
Two hospital explosions. Two @BBCNews narratives.
One dominated headlines for days.
The other disappeared within hours.
This is evidence of anti-Israel bias.
But it’s also something more.

Lebanese TV Host Walid Abboud to Hezbollah:
“Leave us. And take your weapons, your drones, your rockets, your mouthpieces, your flags, your Supreme Leader, your Iran and your Resistance with you.”
Did you know how absurd the UN’s anti-Jew fixation gets? Here’s a ‘fun’ fact about the so-called “settler violence”:
When Jews visit their holiest site, the Temple Mount, the United Nations logs it as “settler violence.” Not attacks, not riots, not actual violence—just Jews being guilty for the crime of existing.
Even when they are literally the ones assaulted for trying to pray, it still gets recorded the same way: Jewish mere existence is violence.
And this is not fringe or isolated. There are OVER 1,300 such “incidents” in UN records, including cases of tourists visiting the site, it gets recorded as “settler violence.”
At that point, ‘violence’ is simply being redefined to mean “I’m triggered by Jewish existence.”
If that’s not a classic blood libel, what is?
BREAKING: The Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors have met and will be conducting talks on disarming Hezbollah and a pathway to peaceful relations.
A new Middle East is on the horizon.
Bill Clinton: “The Palestinians were offered a state. They refused. A state wasn't their goal. Killing Jews was."
This must be shared every single day.
On January 12th 2024, UNESCO condemned Israel for killing a "journalist" in Gaza named Muhammad Abu Haweidi.
It was also reported by WaPo and @pressfreedom.
Today, Palestinian Islamic Jihad announced that he was one of their commanders.
Odds on a retraction or apology?
Zero.
Tonight begins Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Rambam teaches that central to this day (and every day) is a love of God and Torah. Let us bring that spirit with us into the holiday. #love#Torah#teshuvah#RoshHashanah#Rambam#MoreJoyLessOy
One of the greatest gifts of #Judaism is that we believe that EVERY human being has the potential to find a place in the world to come. We all have work to do and the potential for greatness. #Elul#teshuvah
Rambam/Maimonides teaches us that the fate of the world is always perfectly balanced. Even in times when it seems far better or worse, our next action makes a difference--in our lives and for others. We can make a difference.
English Wikipedia is eradicating free thought.
Today, it decided to delete the Destruction of Israel in Iranian policy page, merging it into Iran-Israel relations! 😱🚫
The platform's bias is screaming out loud.
We can no longer ignore it! 😡🔥

See Ecclesiastes (3:8):
“There is a time to love and there is a time to hate. The is a time for war and there is a time for peace. There is a season and time for everything under the sun…”
Today, we Iranians are faced with something truly unbelievable:
Western, liberal, “woke” feminists, clueless about the brutal reality in our country, consistently stand with our oppressors under the delusion of saviorism. They have no understanding of the decades of humiliation, violence, and systemic oppression we’ve endured under the Islamic Republic.
Driven by their own need to feel morally superior, they claim to fight for justice while turning a blind eye to the suffering of millions. And let’s be honest, they are some of the most racist voices out there. They look at Iranians and other “brown people” as too backward, too uncivilized, too dumb to deserve real freedom or democracy. In their eyes, we’re wild animals, only manageable under tyranny.
But here’s the truth: we are the ones fighting for real freedom, the same freedom they weaponize to silence us. And we want absolutely nothing to do with their hypocrisy.
To my fellow Iranians—especially those who murmur in discomfort as America and Israel strike at the heart of the regime:
You cried when Marzieh Ebrahimi’s face was melted by acid—because she dared show her hair.
You reposted the story of Nika Shakarami, a 16-year-old girl whose only crime was wanting to be free.
You whispered prayers when Mohsen Shekari was hanged for protesting injustice.
You’ve seen the videos of young men hung from cranes. Of women dragged into vans. Of children silenced with bullets.
You know what this regime is.
You know it has turned the most brilliant generation into addicts, suicides, refugees, and corpses.
You know it has stolen your future, your money, your pride, your voice.
So when the West—when Israel and America—finally move to dismantle this monster, why do you weep?
Is it really about "sovereignty"?
Or is it because—deep down—you hate the West, or the Jews, more than you hate tyranny?
If that’s true, I ask you this: Are you morally different from the Mullahs?
You don’t have to love America. You don’t have to love Israel.
But don’t side with evil just because you’re too bitter to see who’s actually helping your people breathe.
I don’t care who you want to lead Iran. Monarchist, reformist, secular, green, red, blue—it doesn’t matter.
But anyone is better than the monsters who hang teenagers for singing, rape women in prison, and teach children to hate.
Stop clutching to your anti-West pride while the regime turns your sisters into ghosts and your brothers into dust.
This is your moment.
Don’t stand with the executioner because you dislike the man who stopped the blade.
Tonight we mark Jerusalem Day, which commemorates the reunification of our capital in 1967.
Jerusalem is and will always remain the eternal capital of our nation.
Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱💙
