Friends, help. I’m looking for a short story I read in the 90s in a YA horror anthology book. In it a kid finds a creature with the body of an owl but a human face (possible an old woman). It sits at the end of his bed and at some point coughs up an owl pellet onto it. Any ideas?

I love how Denis Villeneuve’s script for the 3rd Dune movie completely ignores the books and instead goes for a mash up with Tremors. “Sand Worms X Graboids” has already been greenlit and will feature the return of Kevin Bacon as Valentine McKee travelling to Arrakis to help out.
